Managers moving on

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Lad, get your facts right. Andy was involved with Seneschalstown in an advisory capacity in the latter stages of their championship campaign this year. I believe his name is in the hat for the Sench managers job along with Davy Cahill and Kit Henry among others. The decision is due to be made this week. So as I said in my earlier post "Time will tell"

INteresting , I think Davy Cahill isnt a bad manager is he not still in charge of Nobber. Kit Henry was with Trim last year they sunk like a stone, Any one know the reason why he left Mattock in Louth winning 2 Joe wards as they call it up there.

Finally is there many lads free - I believe Curraha are looking at a donaghmore man to managed them next year.

Interesting time...............

Really don't think that story about Dermot Smyth getting job in Senschalstown could be right, while I heard that a number of other people had applied including Kit Henry, Sean Kelly and Davy Cahill, however all the indications coming from the camp was that Andy McCann and Ian Maguire were going to take over as they had the support of the players so don't know if they withdrew ?

Just had it confirmed that Dermot Smyth is the new manager of Seneschalstown. Dermot has been a sponsor of the club over the last number of years.

Rumour has it that Martin Byrne is moving with Smyth to Seneschalstown as team trainer. He will be a big loss to Rathkenny if it's true, a top class trainer by all accounts.

Rathkenny's fittness has probably been the reason they have improved over the last couple of years and if they had some decent scoring forwards then they could have made even further progress.

Well Rathkenny_Rover, you need not worry about losing your trainer (Martin Byrne) to Seneschalstown as the word locally is that Paul Clarke (ex Meath trainer) is taking over and everyone excited about it !

"Harnan can win championships"., Presume you mean twenty odd years ago, managers dont win championships players do, managers of course have a valuable part to play but its the players that do it

I heard the other day that Kit Henry left Trim just wondering why he left Mattock in the first place,

Which job would be the best one to get , what team has the best progress,

with the winter coming in i see there is still league games to be played. 11 league games over the course of 10 mths.

Feis cup still on and 21's barely started

Oh wait did we say that last year and the year before that,

I heard Stan Gibney from Ratoath has thrown his hat in the ring for the Donaghmore Job, along with Paul Everard as his trainer
Wont go down well in the clubhouse in Ratoath!

Good man, don't put any undue pressure on your own clubmates whatever you do! If there were any truth in your gossip 99.99% of Ratoath people would wish them well and be happy for them. You might speak for a house or 2 near Lagore X but not for a Clubhouse
