Managers moving on

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Hello all again, beginning to like this site. I have a question with managers moving on.
I know that Damien Sheridan has hung up his bannistoir bib, has anyone else else decided to move on?

I know that its getting to the end of the year will there be many places up for grabs?

Any lads out there decent managers and looking for a job next year?

Is there many teams in Meath that appoint their manager from within?

Andy Mc Entee is moving from Don/Ash to the Meath Minors, Not a very good choice for the minors in my opinion.

Boylanabu, well that certainly hasn't been a rumour in the Sench area. Most people's money is on Andy McCann but time will tell!!

McEntee is leaving Ashbourne thats an interesting one alright, done well enough with them ,

Great move by the County board to get someone different , i believe he was in the shake up last year for the Senior job but banty won the day.

Is the manager of Sumerhill and dunshaughlin both external managers or have they in the past played for their team.

its an interesting thing , i know most players think they should have an external manager does that allways work ,

i am not too sure.

Didn't realise McEntee was going for the minor job as I thought Kit Henry would probably get it.
Both the Summerhill and Dunshaughlin managers are from Co. Cavan and I think but I am not sure that the Summerhill manager did transfer to play for Summerhill some years but the Dunshaughlin manager never played for Dunshaughlin before.

Sure McEntee is a great choice to manage the minors and he'll know how to treat potentially good underage players from all over the county

I seen a few people posting on here saying Andy Mc Entee is a great choice as the next Meath Minor boss and his track record with D/A would suggest he is a very good manager but I am wondering what has happened with Kit Henry; is he not interested in the job? I would have thought he was in the strongest position to the get the job considering great work he has done with the U-17 development squad for the last few months and he also has won a couple of championships with Mattock Rangers and a couple of Leinster Voc Schools with Meath... Mc Entee is a great manager but I think he will be at a disadvantage if he is only looking at a lot of these players for the first time, Henry would know most of these players for the last few years.

Is David Beggy managing an club team in Meath? I know he was with Leixlip in Kildare for a while but left about a year ago or so.

its very tough on Kit Henry not to get the minor job - he has done great work this year with the 17s when he was put in charge. I just hope we have not shot ourselves in the foot here and lost a fine coach. Good luck to McEntee by the way - good expereience

Great to see the county minors getting set up in a very positive way pity it is a year late as there was a great panel of players early on this year So with McEntee Foley Coyle and Henry involved I think great things on the horizon

Will Kit Henry be involved with McEntee for the minors because that would be great news for next year's team? I assumed that since McEntee got the manger's job, Kit Henry would not play any part in next year's team.
