Cian Ward, as much as I wouldn't be a big fan of his, kicked some fantastic points last night from all over the pitch. Meath deserve great credit for the way they played last night, they threw everything they had at us but luckily for us we were able to hold out and get some critical scores at the right times.
As much as defeat hurts, there's no reason for any Meath fan to not feel proud of their teams efforts last night. The support was great and both sets of fans created a fantastic atmosphere.
Best of luck to Meath next year, with or without Banty you're still a serious outfit.
The only suggestion I'd make is for somebody to get some lightbulbs for the jacks behind the terrace.
Maybe you should have a look on the Kildare forum and see what some of the Meath "supporters" are saying - also lacking dignity.
I've been on the Kildare page. Been there to congratulate yer team. There's not one undignified post by Meath supporters since that game finished.
