Cian Ward

Cian has rubbished the rumour on his twitter page. Was it not clear this was untrue when no stories were posted on HS? Children making up rubbish!

Glad it's not true! Cian Ward is one of the classiest forwards in the country, and if Meath are to have any success, he'll be part of it.

Reading between the lines, it dosen't sound as if there is any problem with morale in the squad. Banty and Grimley know how to get the maximum out of a group of players, and if anything the return of GG has probably strengthened the togetherness of the team.

Cian Ward
Apparently I've left the meath panel...why do people make up these ridiculous stories #economicdownturn #nothingelsetodo

Straight from the horses mouth. Or his twitter anyway.

Glad it's not the case. Expect him
To be back on frees by the time we play Kerry in September.

12Royal, who was your source for this story?

950611 Well it seems Cian Ward will not be in Bantys plans as he has left the panel. Rightly so in my opinion. Treated badly last week.

* Thats where I heard it from. Glad to hear it is not true.

This type of stupid rumour highlights exactly the devious streak some people have, spreading a rumour about a player leaving a panel to heighten the sense that everything has gone to hell in a handcart and the squad is in turmoil, people where churning the rumour mill the same way when McGuinness left yet he had genuine reasons unrelated to anything within the squad. What sort of so-called supporter of Meath GAA would do such things? I have to say that I read with humour some of the comments about the return of Graham Geraghty, from what I can see so far his return has been very positive, not just from a playing perspective but as a guide and leader in the dressing room and his pep-talk to the other substitutes last Sunday was a very positive thing to see. I would not be in the least bit suprised that in addition to continuing to play he is announced as a new selector in the days to come.

Cian Ward is one of the best forwards in the county, he is worthy of his place on the squad, hoping players like him leave the squad is the kind of devisive thinking that can ruin a county.

How many players can you say sustained their presence for 70 minutes last Sunday? Cian Ward is one of the best forwards in the county, he is worthy of his place on the squad, hoping players like him leave the squad is the kind of devisive thinking that can ruin a county.

lets just get behind the lads for the qualifiers now and stop all the rubbish talk.theres enough guff being spouted about the meath team at the minute without their own turning on them

Ah I jumped the gun to fair(when usually I don't),but it seems every rumour involving Meath of late has being true! So I owe Cian an apolagy to be fair.. I guess an awful lot of things that have gone on have made us slightly upset. Wonder how the rumour started.. Anyway let's hope Cian works hard and forces himself back on the team..
