Ratoath for minor this year!!! Mark Daly has been put through a rigourous training routine this year and is now the fittest man in meath. Yet Ratoath need an endearing individual to replace the huge speedy void left by Gareth Rooney from last year. If Jack McGowan can step up to the plate then Ratoaths forwards will go through teams like a hot knife through butter.

That has to be the best match of the 1st round by a mile ratoath againist simonstown ! id say simonstown will win by a few points as ratoath are not the same now as they were last year for some reason but if the likes of mark daly and mcgowan and co can step up theyll be hard to beat ! there is also rumours going round that ratoath have added a few decent players to there squad ! so it will be an intriguing championship all round !

I agree with all mind that childs predictions, div 2 will be a skryne summerhill final id say, 2 very good teams however summerhill are over relient on there full forward for scores and and if the supply to him was cut off they would be in trouble. skryne have a lot of good young fowards who are improving every game and they all pose a big threat when in posession. Also Moynalvey to spring a few surprises in div 1.

How can you be so convinced clonard will beat trim? They have played three times this year, with trim winning by six points in the first, drawing the second (after clonard got two dubious penalties), then beating them by twelve points in the replay. It's clear im biased towards trim here but all form points towards them winning

Walterstown were destroyed by monalvey last night. Was only 6 points in it despite the referee giving some bizarre decisions to monalvey. Walterstown seemes on top, however the second half was all one way traffic. Never seen such a turnaround by any team at half time. I reckon there was more then 20 points in it by the end.

When is the draw for next round?

i heard ratoath are training around 4 times a week and they bet simonstown by 6 points who were most peoples favourites for the minor championship...surely ratoath are the favourites now i was at the match the other day and some of the football ratoath played was breathtaking there a serious footballing team and they have a few big lads there now who hit hard but fair...they hit some shoulders in the first 10 mins of the match always gd to see good hard football and that what it was.
