I'd like to salute Moynalvey first of all.

I'd like to thank our own lads. I was never more proud as a Ratoath (or Meath) supporter in Páirc Tailteann

well done to ratoath, no one can now call ratoath 'bottlers' as it was a very tight game and they pushed on to win in it, great victory

fair play to them the better team won on the day
moynalvey didnt play to their potential yesterday but it was a great achievment for such a small group
of players to get to a 1st division final

some very childish comments posted in this thread, bit sad really

Congrats to Ratoath. Best of luck in the Junior A division from now on although I do hope they actually at least get up to Intermediate one day. I saw the 2nd half of the minor final. Deserved winners. Ratoaths forwards did quite well, not just the county minors running the show.

Congratulations to our lads, showed great spirit in the second half when things were in the melting pot, Though the introduction of McCullagh was pivotal , he mopped up a lot of ball and his distribution was top class , the previous defeats made the victory all the sweeter, Hard luck to Moynalvey I thought Cillian O Sullivan had a great game and kicked some serious points , Ratoath can learn from Moynalvey now who we played only a few years ago in the Junior final and now they are Senior , Rath Tógh abú!
PS I am not Collie McCullagh

Moynalvey deserve great credit. They challenged the premise that the top teams in division 1 are miles ahead of the lower division 1 and division 2 teams. It'll hardly comfort them but they deserve credit.

And congratulations to Ratoath. A first ever division one minor? Couldn't believe that as they have been strong at underage for a long time. Some very good play

Firstly, congrats to the Ratoath lads, their subs - McCullagh and Joey Wallace made the difference

Well done to Moynalvey, great effort, just didn't have the bench to get it over the line

Interesting that the Moynalvey Minors (Small club) have Senior Football to look forward to while the Ratoath lads (big club) are heading into Junior ranks

Finally, Dunboyne as the in form Minor Team must be kicking themselves, they would have won that final yesterday .....

Moynalvey and ratoath are clearly the two best teams in Division one and they showed it yesterday with the best game of the year in the minor championship. Ratoath just had that little bit more to give than moynalvey. I hear that the moynalvey mid-fielder Padraic Harnan got injured twenty minutes into the game but played on with the injury, this could be why he had a quite game, it wasnt because he was marking a better player anyway. All Meath minors were excelent on the day.

I actually thought Harnan had a good game, if not spectacular, solid and honest. He's an exciting prospect when you consider he's still underage next year as is 15 year old Ratoath midfielder Dara Kelly who'll still be underage for minor in 2014.
Moynalvey have achieved so much this year and have gotten their just reward by qualifying for senior football next year. Instead of hanging around in division 2 (a good standard) for another county minor title they raised the bar by entering div 1 and came agonisingly close to getting their just reward on Sunday. Deserving finalists and had they pulled off the win on Sunday I couldn't have any qualms because they matched us in many facets. I suppose our depth in subs and the pain of 2009 and 2010 1 point losses got us over the line.

yes young harnan had a shoulder problem after 20 mins + cillian o sullivan has being playing injured since the week of semi final
pity for that to happen them for such a big minor game but on the bigger picture moynalvey won
both the junior c + imtermediate this year so great year for such a small club

Ratoath still looked dodgy and harnan roasted ratoaths midfield. Injured , ratoath subs won it for them like mccullagh and. Wallace ,
