well done to ratoath, no one can now call ratoath 'bottlers' as it was a very tight game and they pushed on to win in it, great victory garroo (Meath) - Posts: 34 - 17/10/2011 10:26:52 1053156 Link 0 |

Congrats to Ratoath. Best of luck in the Junior A division from now on although I do hope they actually at least get up to Intermediate one day. I saw the 2nd half of the minor final. Deserved winners. Ratoaths forwards did quite well, not just the county minors running the show. monkeyd (Meath) - Posts: 163 - 17/10/2011 14:25:41 1053407 Link 0 |
all the talk of cathal mccabe was justified.. outstanding footballer..was moynalveys main man on the day and fully diserved his man of the match. just a pity he was on the losin side on the day.. dermroo (Meath) - Posts: 34 - 17/10/2011 15:13:17 1053455 Link 0 |
its showed how good that ratoath team is.. without darren mulvaney (benched for management argument) they still walked past moynalvey. strenght everywer iamgod (Meath) - Posts: 86 - 17/10/2011 17:05:00 1053560 Link 0 |
Congratulations to our lads, showed great spirit in the second half when things were in the melting pot, Though the introduction of McCullagh was pivotal , he mopped up a lot of ball and his distribution was top class , the previous defeats made the victory all the sweeter, Hard luck to Moynalvey I thought Cillian O Sullivan had a great game and kicked some serious points , Ratoath can learn from Moynalvey now who we played only a few years ago in the Junior final and now they are Senior , Rath Tógh abú! lagoreX (Meath) - Posts: 223 - 17/10/2011 17:24:09 1053579 Link 0 |

Moynalvey deserve great credit. They challenged the premise that the top teams in division 1 are miles ahead of the lower division 1 and division 2 teams. It'll hardly comfort them but they deserve credit. Loinne (Meath) - Posts: 61 - 17/10/2011 19:23:48 1053691 Link 0 |
Firstly, congrats to the Ratoath lads, their subs - McCullagh and Joey Wallace made the difference Count (Meath) - Posts: 93 - 17/10/2011 19:42:44 1053707 Link 0 |

Moynalvey and ratoath are clearly the two best teams in Division one and they showed it yesterday with the best game of the year in the minor championship. Ratoath just had that little bit more to give than moynalvey. I hear that the moynalvey mid-fielder Padraic Harnan got injured twenty minutes into the game but played on with the injury, this could be why he had a quite game, it wasnt because he was marking a better player anyway. All Meath minors were excelent on the day. royals_4_life (Meath) - Posts: 11 - 18/10/2011 14:43:35 1054062 Link 0 |
I actually thought Harnan had a good game, if not spectacular, solid and honest. He's an exciting prospect when you consider he's still underage next year as is 15 year old Ratoath midfielder Dara Kelly who'll still be underage for minor in 2014. rath_togh (Meath) - Posts: 740 - 18/10/2011 15:29:44 1054112 Link 0 |
yes young harnan had a shoulder problem after 20 mins + cillian o sullivan has being playing injured since the week of semi final pootalk (Meath) - Posts: 63 - 18/10/2011 16:06:39 1054146 Link 0 |
Ratoath still looked dodgy and harnan roasted ratoaths midfield. Injured , ratoath subs won it for them like mccullagh and. Wallace , meathlad11 (Meath) - Posts: 54 - 18/10/2011 18:11:50 1054283 Link 0 |
