Any senior hurling teams near Kells area??

Hello, Wolfe Tones from Kilberry which is not too far are a good hurling club, they won the junior hurling last year so will be intermediate this year. They are also in the Leinster Junior hurling championship final at the end of Jan. Very good manager who is from Offaly and a very good hurling side. Some good lads form other counties as well, cork, tipp and wexford.

Hurlr. Your best bet would be Kells. They are the only Senior side in the area. Nearest next to that would be Clan na nGael or Navan.

There are Junior and Intermediate clubs such as Killskyre, Wolfe Tones & Moylough, depending which side of Kells you are at. I would say though your best bet would be Kells. They have some nice young players and would be a better standard to the others.

dont listen to minorstar. they are not great. kildalkey 2nd team won the junior the year before and will beat them in intermediate this yr and they`re not great so WT must be bad. kells have a great monday club!

TIERNANS, COLEMANS, HARRINGTONS, CALLAGHANS, JORDANS, O BRIENS,LEES,BROWNES,COLWELLS ETC AND MC KEOWNS FROM CASTLETOWN AND THEN OTHER PLAYERS FROM NEIGHBOURING PARISHES?? hurlrr kells are the only snr hurling team in the area,they wil hold there own as a snr team as they have a good mix of youth and experienced players.i think they won the intermediate final in 2007-8 with 9 minors,6 started and 3 came on as subs.the future looks bright

Pim, are you for real? He said senior club, not a club that wil be in junior for rest of its life. Kells have good young team, apart from that is athboy or navan. 3 teams all same level really

slyasafox, , I must sincerely apologise for my mistake on my previous post. I indeed left out the word 'past' in the line mentioning previous counties represented in the tones hurling club. Currently we indeed have a number of people in the club who are from outside the royal county. The chairman is a Wexford man and on the management team one selector is a Cork man while the manager is an Offaly man. I hope you do accept my sincerest apologies and I look forward to hearing from you again should I make any more mistakes.

Still this doesnt take away from the fact that the Tones hurling Team is a very strong one, very well run and a successful one at that.

Best of luck to the boys this Saturday in their Leinster Final. Bring home the cup boys!

COWARDLYASAFOX, my geography is pretty good. A3 in hons geoghraphy all those years back.. but seeing as u had to input, I LIVE BETWEEN WILKINSTOWN AND BOYERSTOWN SO THOSE GRINDS WOULD HAVE SUITED ME BETTER IN ONE OF THOSE SCHOOLS..
