Oldcastle struggling

That was a well composed answer by ya alright. Unfortunatly you failed to address a single point that I put to you in my previous post tho.
As for "my own club man having a go" do you honestly think that post holds much credability? In fairness to the poor soul who wrote it, they couldnt even read the initial posts properly. Hardly a damning inditement now is it Sam?
Much the same as your claim to fame saying you might know me. Dont think so Sam, either that or most of the posts you made regarding me last year after the IFC final were total lies. So which story of yours was a little fabrication, that one or this latest one?

I must say it is a pity Oldcastle can't fulfill some of their B League fixtures, this shouldn't happen to a senior club!
That aside I believe that a clubs success and footballing abilty is generally judged on the most senior team in a club!

I believe the following facts are correct (Jinxie feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)-
In 2009, Oldcastles adult mens team were playing in Div.3 A League, Div.3 B League and the IFC.... now they are a game away from playing Div.1 A League, and currently play in the Div.2 B League and the SFC!
I must add in the Ladies adult team aswell, who were last year playing in Div.3 League and the JFC and now play in the Div.2 A League and the IFC...

Hardy constitutes a club thats STRUGGLING...!!!!!

Sam

Theres somewhat of a contradiction to your post.
You claim you know me, yet also reckon I should be playing with Oldcastle?
Can ya shed a bit of light on that one for me? Your mistaking something there Sam.

As for the people you say who claim to know me, well sure thats to be expected. Just look at how hard you are trying to get to know me. Im obviously very highly thought of by yourself & premium & hillman & johnhanlon to name but a few.
Not too many others get so much fan mail post here directly to them.

Keep it up Sam, Its a great feeling....

Correct on those points.
Not fully sure what the story is regarding the AFL 2 tho, was debating this with a cuple of different lads & from other clubs involved & a few of them had different theories on teams finishing level. Maybe someone can shed some more light on this.
But the rest is correct. the Ladies teams, adult & underage, have made huge stides in the past 3 years tho. It shows the huge amount of work being done there.
The b league game. Agreed, nobody likes to see games unfullfilled, but it happens EVERY club at some time, for whatever reason. If you check the b league results on the Meath website you'll see walkovers given in every division, many of them but some of the more "established" senior clubs. But I wouldnt cast judgment on any club just because that happens the odd time.

Theres plenty of good young footballers in the club, by no means are they in decline.

oldcastle are a good team with quality players and most important thing they have is they play proper football they were just unlucky in the group they got this year i wud defo fancied them avoiding relegation or even qualifying if they were in the other 2 groups this year,i watched them last years intermediate final and was very impressed,i wud put them ahead of around 5 senior teams at the moment and i think they wud of beaten simonstown if they had to play them in the relegation play off

best of luck to oldcastle in 2011

It can't be bought from my online superstore!

Can I interest ya in an autographed beer mat that was used by yours truly?

Copying me again hillman2. Your learning from the best tho!
Just something that stood out in your post,
I know nothing about football, hmmm
If you care to scroll back up through this thread, you quite confidently predicted Oldcastle to be relegated.
I predicted they'd stay up.

So if I know nothing, it says very little about you my auld chum!

hang on there now one min jinxie. I predicted that in january before a ball was even kicked in the championship, so out of 17 possible positions they could have finished i was only one off, thats impressive, if you said they would stay up you chose the other 16 positions in the one prediction, not so impressive! i also remember you at another stage of the year saying that you fancied them to suprise a few people this and maybe even reach the knockout stages. how did that work out? Hardly the master now jinxie!!

Oldcastles score difference after the ultans game was much better than simonstowns. So that wouldn't leave them 16th. Ur maths are as bad as ur buddies is.
As for what else I said, yes they could have came out of the group with some better luck, just like nom & summerhill people said about their clubs before the championship.
Oldcastle have also put in a very good league campaign & still in the feis cup. So that at least had to have surprised you, a man who claimed oldcastle were the weakest team in the senior division.

Agreed dickie
But you only hafta look at the context of the entire thread & why it was set up in the first place, it was childish from it's inception so it's no surprise it's still the same.
Might be no harm if admin brought it to a close.
There's more entertaining & topical issues within Meath football that can be discussed instead.

Typical Jinxie. When you lose an argument you just ask for administration to close the topic.

Oldcastle have been atrocious this year.
Relagation playoff in SFC
Highly likely that they will be in DIV 2 A leauge next year. Provided pats beat Sydan.
Failed to fufil a fixture in B Leauge due to lack of numbers.

If that's your view on oldcastles year, so be it. Me arguing otherwise ain't gonna change it.
We shall agree to disagree on this one.

To further prolong this argument will do little to change what anyone thinks of things.

There's noon David.
Both Oldcastle & Simonstown beat St Ultans which meant Ultans were Relegated so it rendered the final match pointless.

Point noted & taken.
Apologies for not reaching the heights you dreamed of when signing up to the fan club.
No doubt the club will strive to achieve each & every goal to which you wish to see them aspire to.
