Rasher did leave the meath panel, but you can't compare junior or intermediate hurlin in meath to christy ring intercounty. There's no comparison whatsoever

Good win last night for Kilskyre. It was real backs to the wall stuff, a good battling performance and they did well to hold on. This leaves them in a strong place for qualification from the group. Moylough v Ratoath is now a crucial game in the group, with Moylough needing a win to keep themselves and the tones in with a chance..

1984, saw the game. really came to life in last 10 minutes. Tones wasted chances but kilskyre worth their win and fair dues to them. This leaves tones out i would imagine. Can see ratoath on at least 6 and kilskyre the same. With scoring average taken into account I can see tones needing a big win over ratoath and on display last night this is not possible. Looks like kilskyre v kiltale and ratoath v dunboyne in semis and could be kilskyre v ratoath final. Ref last night was shocking but to be fair he was bad to both sides so not complaints for either side on this

when moylough beat ratoath it will really throw the cat among the proverbial pigeons and blow the whole group wide open

Pim, you are slightly hopeful there if you think that moylagh will beat ratoath

Ratoath will beat Moylough. Moylough will then be out. Ratoath will then prob beat the tones, leaving them through as group winners. Kilskyre should then beat Moylough who will have nothing to play for only local pride..i predict ratoath through as winners and Kilskyre through in 2nd place.

Don't know much about any teams in the other group, so can't say how either will get on in semis

apparently Kiltales junior team are strugling as they had to play alot of there junior team in the match against trim. I heard they have no keeper at junior level and 2 keepers at senior level

i think its pretty obvious that ratoath will win the junior A and boardsmill will win intermediate. pretty much a cert and a kilmessan / killyon final in the senior will go either way

Bobas69, I am afraid your prediction may be a little off on Ratoath winning junior this year. They drew with Moylagh last night in championship and were lucky to get that. Moylagh had a 6 point lead twice in the game and played most of it with 14 men. They were very unlucky not to take all points and this now opens up the group again. I would say tones must be happy. Ratoath were awfully poor last night. Heard mumblings on sidelines that they were missing some key player(s) who had emigrated.

iamgod, I can say that purely because of what I saw. Ratoath had a mountain of possesion in the second half and squandered it all. They had at least 4-5 frees in the last 5 minutes and the failed to score any. They were awful and when Moylagh did manage to get up the field they managed to score. Ratoath got a lucky goal and I have to disagree about 2 points being disallowed. The referee was correct to make the rulings as both umpires on that end were acting up. There were no nuetral linesmen and umpires so he had to take charge. He was bang in front of the goals for each occasion and made the correct decisions.

I will agree the Moylagh lad who got sent off should never be allowed to play again. An utter disgrace. He literally tried to spear the ratoath player with his hurley. But what annoyed me most was he stayed laughing and joking with the selectors etc on the line after. They should have shown example and kick him out of the ground. If he did it on the main strip in Moylagh on a Saturday night he would have got prison. FACT.

Really opens up the group where does this leave kilskyre now with them playing moylagh next??

Any team outside of Boardsmill can go through still. It is down to tones to beat Ratoath and Moylagh need to win their last two games to go through. If they don't then it will be Kilskyre if they beat Moylagh. But if they draw with Moylagh, Ratoath will go through on win versus rule. It really opens it up and the real winners seem to be tones as Moylagh did them a huge favour.
