I hear it wasn't played due to a no show from the ref

No Way, that is an utter disgrace. It was bad enough that the game went ahead when Meath Footballers were playing but then for a no show from Referee. That just shows the respect the county board places on the small ball game.

SHOCK, I have jus been looking at the Junior Hurling Championship results and tables. In group B Don Ash were beaten by Dunboyne, which leaves them 3rd in the table after all games are finished in their group. Which means they don't qualify for the semi finals on score average. That must be a big blow for them because based on a lot of threads on this item they were well fancied........

Donaghmore Ashbourne were beaten by Dunboyne 1-13 to 1-7 so i think that means dunboyne go through and ashbourne are out, can anyone clarify this?

Yes it appears that Don Ash are out of the championship. This is a major shock as they were fancied to win it outright, where does this leave the other contenders then?.

on the jubilee cup thread i think kilmessan are the team to beat but i dont believe they will walk it, like the look of that young trim team could see a jubilee there in the not to distant future, would think relegation is between CNG and Kells with CNG surviving, just

Well according to the updated fixtures yesterday the game is still on, but if it is a draw Sunday I can see it being moved again. This seems to be the pattern. The county board are obviously allowing the tones the privilage of their county football players. The more I think about it, it seems only fair. I know there is the argument of games backing up but the tones v kilskyre game is the only one set for this next week. They could at least play the ratoath game v moylagh as they have each only played once.

I see that game between tones and kilskyre has moved to Tuesday night in the meath fixtures list.

1984, To answer your question I have no affiliation with any club in Meath, my club is Patrickswell in Limerick. When I moved to Meath (working in Dublin) my kids were too small to get involved in any club. I have been to all grades of championship this year, seen Kilmessan hammer Trim and Kildalkey v NOM, I would pick either ot those winners to take senior honours, I have seen a bit of Boardsmill in Intermedaite and a great game v BHall Gaels. Have to see Boardsmill winning through in this grade. But I have to admit I love seeing the Junior grade, Have seen nearly all teams in this, and shocked at Don Ash exit. They were my tip for this grade, hard to cal now, the tones game tonight v kilskyre will set that group out and should tones win it, it will be down to ratoath game to set pairings for semis. From then on it is a lottery. Maybe tones to shade it as they seem to have better hurlers, but ratoath are a ver good side also, as are kiltale. Only worry for kiltale is with seniors going well could their junior side be depleted with call ups through injuries etc.

Trap, I saw kilskyre game v boarsdmill and that muldoon chap was by far the best player on field, but they seemed to rely on him too much. He took all frees from number 6, and sidelines etc. He was worn out by start of second half. Wonder what tactics will tones use tonight, will they try an block him out or play their normal game. Is it true he left Meath panel. Shame if he did as he is a great player.

I think he was right to leave the panel,he was takin off after 10-15 mins in a league match and in my opinion the meath snr hurlin management dont have a clue, and im sure ill be backed by other followers of meath hurlin.

14 man Kilskyre beat the tones tonite, alot of people wrote off kilskyre, even though 'the rasher' had an off day,Kilskyre showed tonite they were no one man team, probly should've won by 3-4 in the end good game and a great evening the Ref Paddy Foy was poor.
