New! Who will win the hurling championships

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

The last two years the Junior HC has been won by the winners of the SHC in that same year, which would leave me to believe that Dunboybe and Kiltales 2nd string will both be very strong as they are both still training away with their 1st teams. Kilskyre or the Tones will have a battle on their hands either way to even reach the final..
I think it was hoganstand boy who was saying (could have been diff thread) something about the Tones being unbeatable in JHC, did Kilskyre not already beat them this year..

Intheloop I dont recall myself saying that.maybe I am wrong and i did say it but not being from tones i would be very suprised if it came out of my mouth.I stand to be corrected though

ive seen them play they are a class above everyone else..yes kiltale are good but i think tones have been clever all season making sure they always have a full strength team cos they believe they can win it..shocked kilskyre got through..what ya think minorstar?

And before that post you left a comment saying 'tones will not be bet'

Funny enough comment seeing as they were already bet, and had a full team out that day and Kilskyre went a man down for last 15 mins of that game..

Intheloop, to be fair to hoganstandboy19, I think they were suggesting that the tones wont be bet moving on this year. I agree with you I saw that Kilskyre Tones game and Kilskyre dwserved their victory. But on the other side this was a while ago and am I right in saying it has been months since the other group have finished. Long time to be laid off.

Has anyone information on whether any of the clubs have been involved in any challenges that might gauge where they are coming in to final few games

Well he's entitled to his opinion, can't say I agree with him though! Ye, think the other group has been finished a while but the 2nd team I presume trains with the 1st team which is an advantage in itself..which is the point I was making about the last two winners of JHC obviously benefiting from training in a competitive environment.
BTW why are tones only coming good in junior hurling now, have they not been junior a while now?

yes intheloop i meant that they wont be bet from now on. i aplogise for my mistake. Very good point about junior teams training with their first teams but i still just feel tones have a lot to offer through eanna harrington who i believe is a serious talent and could win the junior championship on his day...just my opionion though as u said im entitled to one

Well, I must say I am looking forward to the semi finals, I think the standard has been really good in most games. Whoever wins it should be a good addition to interdediate grade next year.

not sure if i would agree, have kiltale and dunboyne any losses to their senior sides. I have seen a bit of both sides of the draw and I dont think you ca discount either kilskyre or the tones.

I feel it will be a tough game between the tones and kiltale, but have a sneaking feeling for the tones and on the other side I think it will be dunboyne, by a margin.

Let's see Sunday evening how it all shapes up....
