Longwood should get out of group but then hit a wall after long season last year. Also rans I'm afraid. Can't imagine them as a Senior team, they would get mauled. They might stay as Intermediate for a couple of years though.

longwood are very strong. they play very direct football which a lot of teams find it difficult to counteract. would be very surprised not to see them at least make the final. who do ye think they might meet or who has the potential to stop them?

Longwood average??

Im not blowing their trumpet but they look pretty good to be honest!!they no how to win tight games and with mickey burke and rory maguire in such form anythings possible!!im fairly sure burkes the best intermediate club player in the county at the minute!alrite peaders class and so is queeney but they let their teams down occasionally when the pressures on!!kells also flying and will be very hard stopped along with nobber and dunderry but im afraid its between them 4 teams to win it!!Dunderry V Longwood final if they dont meet earlier.......cant call it!!

with the young stars like john cully and david fagan comin back from the exams, Longwood should do well! also heard tommy gorman is making a return to the team, and with ollie bird, brian cully and martin lee returning from injury longwood should reach at least a semi,if not a final!!

In the 2nd half against Colmcilles, Carnaross conceded two points.
In the 2nd half against Kilmainhamwood, Carnaross conceded just one point.

It is the defence in Carnaross this year that have resulted in the two impressive victories, not just John L McGee.

Summer of 09, if you actually saw The Ross play this year, you would have noticed that Carnaross play long ball into John L and so he's guaranteed a handful of scores every game, any player is when he's provided with an onslaught of accurate passes from the midfield area.
You would also have noticed that John L takes the frees that he himself and other players work hard to win. This adds to his large tallys.
In the match against Kilmainhamwood John L scored 4 points from frees, one of 5 scorers in that match.

I do recognise that John L is an outstanding player which Carnaross heavily rely on but yet their defence and style of play ensure that they maximise John L in the full forward position resulting in two wins from two.
