Have to agree with your observation on that move,I saw it as it happened in front of me,dont know if Brogan went to do Reilly but it was definitely a third man tackle and at least a free out to Meath.Kevin McStay was pointing out why two of Meaths goals should have been disallowed but this was an example of a Dublin score that should not have counted. I dont think there was much intention. If you see it again i think Gary O'Brien kind of pushes Brogan into Reilly BoysInGreen1 (Meath) - Posts: 22 - 29/06/2010 15:54:08 691106 Link 0 |

Fair play to Reilly, he's really standing up! Keeping B.Brogan that quiet is no mean feat! Fair enough Donie Kingston got quite a big score off him from play but that man is an animal and i think Reilly did well to break so much ball down in front of him. jaffacake (Meath) - Posts: 720 - 29/06/2010 16:47:17 691190 Link 0 |

If it was Paul Galvin hed be suspended. an elbow in the face is an elbow in the face. i remember kevin himself got a suspension 2 years ago as a result of an elbow versus wexford. ya got to ask where is the consistency. still brogan didnt want ta know when the big man stood him up!! db9 (Meath) - Posts: 283 - 29/06/2010 17:23:47 691270 Link 0 |

Kevin Reilly is definitely exceeding my expectations, i know its only been a few games but for a man who has not played football in the past year (very little) he is playing very well and really making a super impression as full back Beautiful.Meath (Meath) - Posts: 537 - 29/06/2010 17:24:47 691272 Link 0 |

OBrien nudged him a bit ok but the elbow was up like a shot, then he stood over him on his way back out to say a few words. Judging from the later spat between them in front of the hill, I doubt Brogan was asking if Reilly was alright. Finnertys_Perm (Meath) - Posts: 440 - 29/06/2010 19:08:19 691398 Link 0 |

yes i saw that elbow on reilly meself. I couldnt quite tell who elbowed him at the time. Brogan had a few words with reilly while he was on the ground. Kevin got a ban himself against wexford in 08 for an elbow. Collie Moran did a similar tackle just as bad if not worse on a westmeath player also in 08 i think and didnt receive a ban. I know this is getting away from this topic but dublin get away with too much sometimes and thats a perfect example. Brogans incident could be looked into but im quite happy with us just giving them a hammering :) no need to rub salt into the wound and get him banned :P JulianstownBoyo (Meath) - Posts: 196 - 29/06/2010 21:11:10 691504 Link 0 |
