no sry. i doubt there will be many at this game. on at the worst possible time and quite a journey away. why is it ok to throw us on before a game but not have our under 21s do the same?

That attitude is typical of many football supporters in Meath, they fail to see that hurling has any importance and say that football should come first, even in a majority hurling county

Lads i think ye r taking bettystownroyals post up wrong. He's simply saying that if it could have bn done to accomodate tipp, then there may have been a possibilty to accomodate both Meath & Westmeath last week. I don't think any Meath person has any problem at all being the curtain raiser to the tipp hurlers at all. The time isn't ideal, but it's better than bn on after it at 4 & not getting home till 9 that night either!

hurling may be the number one sport in tipp but there are people working hard to promote it.i personnally prefer football and i,d follow the footballers most of the time.i,d also like huring but football is no.1

its the truth tipp hurlers are followed much more than the footballers....its the number 1 game in the county

Funny that hurling is more popular in Tipp. I would have thought in the last 5 or 6 years their footballers and hurlers have been equally successful....well in terms of All Ireland medals......somewhat similiar to us now that I think of it.

Donaldo, I would not agree that Meath are useless at all. It was a good close hard fought game that Tipp just edged out. Don't forget that Tipp are the only team to have taken a point from Down in Div. 2.

This is the same Tipperary team that drew with Down in Newry (and beat them last year). That is the same Down team who beat Donegal last night. Also Donegal were beaten by Antrim last year so I don't think your in a position to give out statements like that.

What a poor result, I don't care who Tipperary have beaten and drawn with, this a terrible result for Meath. No way should they be losing to these teams!

It was a terible game of football game to watch. Both teams kicked away poession a lot , there was bad wides from both teams & as for the ref they may as well have called in a man from the local housing estate to referee it as he was fair bad making bad calls on both sides.

While happy with the win Meath should have won with ease.Tipp had to battle for everything & the penalty was the call which decided the game.

I agree MyGeneration, just pointing out to the Donegal man that the grass is not to green in his own county either.

Unfortunately I didn't get to listen to the game on the radio. Who played well and how did Harrington get on at full back? The return of Shane O'Rourke is a big plus.

I think our hurlers need to go down there and get revenge for us and beat their hurlers.

DowdtoFoleyGoal- spot on I agree with you and maybe we could bring a couple of footballers just for a bit of support

look lads i know they played bad but, just dont over react again like after the westmeath match. It is only the league.EOB will be concerned but he will not go into meltdown. We really just need to start moving the ball alot quicker and with the return of McGuiness and Riely at the end of the league they will tighten up the defence.Hopefully Brendan Murphy is back soon also. How did Mark Ward and David Bray do today.Heard McKiege played well and Shane O'Rourke came on also and did well. That surely is a plus.
