Brendan Murphy

Jinxie, I wasnt in Thurles or Newry. O Rourke has made mistakes every time Ive seen him would be more accurate. Its nothing personal, I just dont think he is good enough for inter county senior. Maybe I have high standards as I come from a part of the county that has never been short of quality keepers but thats another days discussion. I hate the argument which says "give him time, hes young". You dont get time at the top level to develop.

QPR

How was the goal that Paddy let in last night different from the goal Brendan Murphy let in against Dublin in 07?

As for you not being in thurles or newry, thats my very point, its easy for you to say he's been bad in every game, yet you havent seen him in every game. Very easy to tip into navan to criticise players, but the first hint of effort, something the Paddy O'Rourke & his teammates are putting in, & your not there.
Just because you havent seen it, that doesnt mean he hasnt played well!

Jinxie, the points you make are good ones. Murphy did make some mistakes but was generally consistent. Hopefully O Rourke will prove me wrong. He wouldnt be the first. Id like to get to more games but circumstances dont allow me and I have to try and squeeze ib a few Qpr games too. I just feel after last years good run there was a few obvious positions we could improve on and goalkeeper was one of them.
