The fact that Pig on a stick thinks I have compared crawford to O'Shea, means you have not understood my comments! I simply said that last year, what did O'Shea do, to deserve the all star, I could honestly say from what I seen Whelan deserved it more that him, And he didnt deserve it. But you can argue that sure meath played no one and so on! In my opnion, seeing near all meath games in the past 3 years, crawford has gotten better since his bad spell around 2006-2007 where he was dropped. Hes a player that is getting wiser with age and still shows the same determination unlike our new comers! He is no Daragh O'Shea! but neither is Whelan!

i knw meath are playing bad at the minute but i think we are worrying to much its only the leaue players are being tried out in different positions also the team could be doing some serious training and therefore performances are suffering.two all ireland semi finals in 3 cant be to bad no matter how we got there

Thought this subject matter should be dragged back kicking and screaming to see what people think of developments in the last month, various results and performances across the divisons have shown the unpredictability of the national league. By todays results it appears that if we had beaten tipp we would have finished level on points with Armagh and gone up by virtue of the fact that we beat them in the first round, now ouldn't that have been a turn up for the books!!

Yes I agree if's and but's, but it just goes to show how close we actually were despite some erratic football to say the least. Meath could have won that game in thurles if they had been 50% switched on but they were hardly 25% on and look at the rewards that could have been reaped as a result, promotion and another quality game before the championship in Croker, such things annoy me so
