Have you ever marked a county player?

seamus moynihan tried to mark me once in a colleges game. Ive mentioned it on here before. Scored 2-12 from play off him. After the game he was fairly demoralised. I told him to keep the chin up, keep at it, and he could be a decent player and in fairness he did alright after that

I played on some fellah a few years ago who was on the county minor team, cant remember his name. He scored 3 points off me and had won about 4-5 frees in the first 15 minutes. At this stage I was booked for persistent fouling, (I had him by the jersey and hurl to try to stay close to him the whole time to be fair) was getting tick and about 5 minutes later things got worse when a loose pull (ball bounced awkwarldy and I had committed to the challenge by then, wasnt a dirty or wild pull) finished with a hurl breaking straight across the chap, I got the marching orders and we lost the game by 3 points. Probably the longest 20 minutes of my playing career, absolutely humiliated. But I laugh at it now!!

I 'marked' Oisin McConville once, he scored 3 goals and x points. Not my greatest day, but regarding the goals in my defence, one was a penalty (which I didnt give away and he wasn't fouled for it) the other a fluke which bounced over our keeper and in and the other in fairness was sheer class!

I amrked Henry Shefflin and then Cha Fitzpatrick in a Leinster league club game. Never gave either of them a sniff of the ball which led to both men being taken off. Probly my greatest achievement yet as a GAA man.
