Meath were supposed to be playing Leitrim in Abbeylara today. I couldn't make it due to a club game. Assume it went ahead. Was anybody there? BoyneView (Meath) - Posts: 60 - 04/05/2009 18:57:56 274692 Link 0 |

Beat by Leitrim? No disrespect but I hope we had a very experimental side out, but as club championship was on this weekend I presume we had...although we need to be playing our best team in challenges at this stage as June 7th isn't too far away updaroyal (Meath) - Posts: 1132 - 05/05/2009 19:13:01 275532 Link 0 |

What was the Meath team like given that the club championship was on? Coylers Elbow (Meath) - Posts: 1075 - 07/05/2009 00:59:40 276896 Link 0 |
Lads I wouldn't panic too much about losing to Leitrim, the majority of that team would have played championship games the weekend and anyone that has played a bit of ball themselves will know that lads would be still stiff and sore going into the game. hootervillian (Meath) - Posts: 309 - 07/05/2009 04:35:25 276919 Link 0 |
Heard they were beaten by Galway last night by 5 pnts in Ballinasloe. Peader Byrne supposidly had a good game. Andrew Collins was at full back. Jinxie (Meath) - Posts: 6347 - 07/05/2009 19:10:54 277526 Link 0 |
Heard the same Jinxie. I presume we has a fairly weak team out against Leitrim with the club championships the day before and then a stronger team out against Galway. men_of_49 (Meath) - Posts: 2003 - 07/05/2009 19:53:53 277550 Link 0 |

It's amazing Louth posters are so quick to jump in whenever there's a sniff of bad news for Meath, are they that sad that can't just focus on their own county? Galway are a good team, scoring 1-14 isn't too bad against them although 2-19 is a huge score to concede, wonder hat the team was updaroyal (Meath) - Posts: 1132 - 07/05/2009 23:07:27 277769 Link 0 |
Listen here upda not one of ye could provide the score line for Cloonan14 following the request despite the fact that many of ye if indeed not all of ye knew it........ speaks volumes that..............by the way I also posted it on the Dublin forum as Cloonan14 also sought the result there. Furthermore I personally do not consider that as being "bad news for Meath" as you put it as Galway are a quality side make no mistake about that and at the end of the it was only a challenge so calm down............ I know when Louth appears anywhere on the Meath forum it must be like a red rag to a bull however wee are not all as bad as you might think squidword (Louth) - Posts: 2897 - 07/05/2009 23:44:52 277803 Link 0 |

Brendan Cummins spoke at length on LMFM at dinner time about the game he gave the Meath team subs included, who scored what and when...........Colm Corrigan the same this evening... so unless the people of Meath do not listen to their local radio station LMFM which I very much doubt many people would have known the result. I would except also that people like your good-self Jinxie genuinely did not know the result so I wouldn't get to bothered about it as I did not use the word most but instead I used the word many. squidword (Louth) - Posts: 2897 - 08/05/2009 00:34:49 277819 Link 0 |
