Liatroim didn't play Ballyvarley last night. Put off to Monday now. Why?

The rest of the fixtures go ahead with Castlewellan looking like the team to beat in Div 2 but they'll get it tough in Ballycran. Carryduff might pull off a shock at home to Clonduff.

Interesting match at Kilclief where Bredagh are visitors. Hard one to call.

They are all tight in Div 1 with the exception of Ballygalget v Warrenpoint.

Ballyvarley found out that the liatroim game was switched to Tuesday night late on Sunday night. What sort of notice is this to give? More importantly why was this the only game to be refixed for the Tuesday night due to football?

Good win for Bredagh as Kilclief isn't an easy place on a windy night.

Any other results, how'd the ports get on in Newry city?

Crans vs Castlewellan is not to be played on monday night. Ballycran had no pitch as there was an Ulster game on it on Wednesday night so the fixture was to be reversed, with Ballycran travelling to Castlewellan in the first half of the league. They could not travel even though their 2nds were travelling to Ballela the same night. They want the game played on a monday night so they can load up with a selection of players for the seconds team. The Down Hurling league is to be played on a Wednesday night and most players have made arrangements for this, ie, getting shifts in work changed, getting babysitters and sorting work out so they can make it on a Wednesday night.

Any results from last night lads? we beat warrenpoint by eight, but that margin doesnt really do them justice. without sounding patronising, i thought they hurled extremley well last night and could have won the game. i genuinley think they have come on tremendously well even from last year and they have a couple of excellent players in their team. fair play anyway. The standard this year seems to have iproved, or possibly because more teams are more evenly matched making the league more competitive. Either way its good IMO.

It good to see most of the matches being played. Fair play to Sean Rooney and all the clubs.

Carryduff beating Bredagh IIs is hardly a surprise Suas Sios! They haven't won a game yet and probably wont. You should be a spin Dr for the Labour Party!

I'd rather be a bredagh man than work for the labour party and thats saying something.

Nah, we just weren't sure what sort of team they would put out last night. There was only a point in it at half time but I suppose the result was no huge upset.
