Not a better full back in the country than Francie Bellew, despite getting hammered by all sections of the media, and tortured by referees, If he was a Dub or from Kerry he would be hailed as a role model.

Justin McMahon definitely

Canty is better out the field for Cork, tends to get a doin when he played there against Kerry

Delighted to hear Kevin O'Neill gettin mention...he very underrated in this county in my opinion. Don't think there's any outstanding full-back at the moment though. I was Darren Fay 5 years ago and the Owens was the best for a few seasons. In last few years no full-back has stood out.

In hurling Noel Hickey has been a model of consistency. Dara Ryan and Phily Maher were very good full backs too this century. Again bar Hickey don't think anyone really dominated over the last few years.

Relatively speaking it has to be Colin Goss without a doubt!

Relative to others of our standard that is. I put us in the "B" grade with 15 others and in this grade his is the tops.

Good to see leitrims john mckeon gettin a mention as hes a class act and if a transfer system was in place i think he would be in high demand, its just a shame that he doesnt get as much exposure playin in big games at the business end of the season as some of the others who have deservedly ben mentioned in this thread
