Yes I'm happy with work rate and defending .I think we need to swap around the forwards in the absents of Keating .if we can fill Mackey's place I would try him out at corner forward 'I seen him playing there before and he showed well 'I would only try this out if were winning some of our games by a good margin and see how it works out , that or find out our best target man and this will probably give us options rather than recycling the ball back the ways too . a few goals would take the pressure off a bit too.but all in all still very happy

Great to see Terry and the backroom team with this team so well put together. Hard to believe only 2 years ago we had many on here saying we should have got Canavan or Grimley instead. Great to see the team working so hard for each other, no prima donnas. Finally great to see the quality in depth from 19yr old Michael Argue to experienced Mark McKeever.
A win against Sligo would almost certainly put us up.

Jack - reports on the ground suggest some Meath supports defecting and swelling the numbers at Breffni....especially those from disputed areas around Nobber/Oldcastle/Ballinacree/Killaminhamwood

We have outnumbered both Offaly and Wexford in their own grounds this year. Expect a big crowd at the Sligo game given the importance. If we continue our good form and were to make it to the League Final I would expect a huge Cavan crowd in Croker, that's a long way off yet though still some very tough games to be played.

Drove to from Mullingar to Cavan on Sunday,it rained the whole way there and was still raining when I left the pitch.
So you will appreciate that the conditions were very poor.
In all honesty i Ithought the game was going away from us early in the second half but it was great to see the lads knuckle down from a 4 point defecit and nail a result which seemed unlikely.
First half was the Gearoid show and it was great see him play so well after his injury woes of last year.
We seemed lethargic in the first half but underfoot conditions didn't help.
After a few bad wides Sligo settled well and caused us a good few problems.
Midway through the 2nd half Terry made some good substitutions and we drove on to earn the 2points.
Longford will be a very difficult match away for us and we will have to up our performance if we are to prevail.

Any word on injuries for saturday night? I wonder will it be a game for the fringe players and rest the likes of mackey,martin reilly,mcenroe or will Terry play his strongest 15 for the last 2 games? With Givney and Declan McK gone from the the panel now and Argue still with the 21's these games are a great chance for the likes of Mooney and Mossy Corr to cement a place alongside Gearoid for the Armagh game and beyound hopefully.
