Martin Dunne injured? I thought county players were barred from playing with their clubs? A Drung clubman told me they played Mountnugent at the weekend but Givney couldnt play as all county players were barred from playing with the armagh game coming up in a few weeks. Disaster if he is injured as he was our top scorer during the league. It will be a big ask without him and gearoid now. Hopefully some of the under 21's can step up and fill the void.

What agenda has this guy gaelsutd got? Spreading what appears to be blatant lies. How do these young players like Martin Dunne feel when they read this.
Please stop this tripe and get back to supporting all our lads.

All county players are supposed to be banned from playing club matches after what happened to Gearoid. Would not believe a word of the Dunne story.

Dunne played Saturday and went off injured early in the second half.

Was at a Mountnugent match a week or two ago and Givney was not playing, he was up and down the sideline, story was that all county players were told not to line out for their clubs after what happened GMcK. Or maybe its only some lads who are told not to line out. Odd enough.

County players were told that they could only play one of the club games at the weekend, they could play on the Saturday or on the Monday but not both.

That's a lie anyway.

OK Lads have we sorted out the politics of players playing for their clubs or not in the run up to a championship game?
My own view is that we should be careful and not burn out players.

Any views on the starting 15 for Sunday? Was very interested in people saying Mooney played full back against Meath but I expect they will go with the more experienced guys like Dunne or McEnroe. Jason McLoughlin should get a corner back. Killian Clarke will be pushing hard as well.
Half backs will probably be A.Clarke and Damian Reilly with Mc Cutcheon in there as well.
Midfield looks to be Givney and Corr with a surprise maybe in K.Clarke or McCutcheon.
Half forwards will be Mackey, M.Reilly and McKeever with Mooney maybe a surprise. B.Reilly an outside bet!
Full forwards will be Dunne, Keating and Jack. Enda Reilly another outside bet.
Expect Alan to get the goals unless he has an injury.

Players that would have come into the equation would have been Niall Smith, Kevin Tierney but lacking game time and possibly Gerard Smith.
Feel the u21's are just a bit young but great to have them in the mix.

A week before the Armagh game and nobody has anything to say? Is there a blanket ban on posting?

Not a bad Armagh full forward line Tony Kernan Jamie Clarke and Stephen Forker

Good luck on Sunday. Very beatable Armagh side, but certainly won't be easy for yous. A Cavan win on Sunday would surely signal progress.

If you take into account the rumoured injuries , not really sure who is available ut this eould be my team
O Meara/Gilsenan
Ronan Flanagan Kilian Clarke Jason McLoughlin
Josh Hayes Damien O'Reilly Mark Mc Keever
Declan Mc Kiernan David Givney
Barry Reilly Jack Brady Martin Reilly
Turloc Mooney Eugene Keatinge Martin Dunne

But given the conservative approach to team selection and a tendency to favour some players blindly, esp emerging 21s I'd say would say we are more likely to see
James Reilly
Killian Brady Oisin Minagh Jason McLoughlin
Mark Mc Keever Ronan Flanagan/Alan Clarke John mc Cutcheon
Damien O'Reilly David Givney
Fergal Flanagan Cian Mackey Niall Mc Dermott
Alan Clarke /Ronan Flanagan Eugene Keating Martin Dunne

Alan Clarke and Ronan Flanagan could line out either place but will take the two of them to cover the centre half back duties. Fergal Flanagan and Niall Mc Dermott will drop back as half backs to 'play the system'. Given Armaghs plan to push everyone forward lookin for scores it will be an interesting game. I just worry about where supy of ball to our forwards will come from. Either way hope we can win we need a run in Ulster.

My God, its a good job you have nothing to do with team selection, that half forward would get ate alive by aaron kiernan and ciaran mckeever, turlough mooney at 13? you would not have the captain clarke playing? Jog on son
