Club Senior League

It's not fair on Castlerahan having to play a league match tonight against a full strength Lavey side without our county players. When was this County match thrown in .Its just not fair on clubs.

its not fair on all clubs but lavey is not at full strength, they could be missing up to 8 starting players due to injuries and other reasons. most clubs are in the same boat, just have to get on with it

Boo hoo, castlerahan seem to get games played whenever they want, so about time the county board went ahead! I also heard they were looking for their game off on monday? Cowboys. Lavey are missing over 10 players through injuries and chris conroy is involved with seniors so they will be far worse off than castlerahan.

What happened castlerahan Friday evening ?
They have 2 or 3 players on the county panel, should still be managing more than 2 points in a game if they are hoping to be contenders this season again

Lacken GAA 0-8 V 1-11 Kingscourt
Denn 0-7 V 1-9 Mullahoran
Ballinagh 1-12 V 1-15 Ramor United

If the players name is not mentioned we've every right to talk about it

As a neutral spectator in Ballinagh yesterday I was treated to a good hard hitting game with some excellent fielding and scores from both Ramor and Ballinagh.
I saw a Ramor player exiting the field at the end of the game with blood streaming from the side of his head, which I later found out he had been bitten by a Ballinagh player.
This sort of thing disgusts me and if these allegations are true, the player involved needs to be dealt with by the club.
If this had not happened it was probably the best game of the league this year.

I'd like to think it wud happen but there's not a hope in hell the club will deal with him.I saw the injury and it was ugly, lot of blood and it's a sad day when a young talented footballer has to visit a medic for a tetanus after a football match

he didn't even get a yellow card.
Hardly his first offence.
County board won't make an example as usual.
So he could play tomorrow & do the same again. JOKE

Yet again it comes back to refereeing standards. I believe the referee did not see the alleged incident in the Ramor/Ballinagh game .Is there no precedence for disciplinary action after the game?
I also heard a Lavey player got his jaw broken during the Gaels match last week, and the offending player wasn't even carded, and went on to cause another injury which caused a second Lavey player to visit the A & E dept.
It's high time our referees protect players and card the relevant offences regardless of who the offending player is. Too often I watch whistle happy referees blow for nothing at all, and then ignore what amounts to physical assaults. Lets hope the CB will sit up and take note.

As predicted Lavey beat us by a big margin. Castlerahan have no strength in dept.Once our county men are out we struggle.Lavey just ran through us .Cullivan ,Gerry Smith ,Shane Tierney were untouchable .At least common sence prevailed and our game with Ramor wasn't played. One loss was bad but 2 would have been a disaster.Thank you County board.

kinglarry:
Who were you's missing.
You have to admit, 2 points is an embarrassing return. Castlerahan should still have the nucleus of a decent side to put up a challenge to most clubs in the league.
