Team to Topple Tir Connaill.

Lads get behind the team ,whoever is picked.Im sure the best possible team available will be picked.Hopefully they play as a team and give Donegal a good game.I think they will give us reason to be hopefull for the future.What were the cccc thinking off,putting Cormac Reilly in charge of the whistle.Were they not watching the AllIreland semi u21,he was a discrace, what if he has as bad a game again ,there will be a lot of media spotlight on him.He was very unfair to Cross in the AllIreland final as well.Lets get behind our team and quit all the negativity.

The County Board should have objected to Cormack reilly refereeing this game. He was clearly against Cavan in the U.21. The County Board are missing in in-action again !!

barkey injured his shoulder awhile back so maybe thats why he isnt in. i agree with the dummy team theory cant see g mc lasting a full 70mins at mid field! id be worried about jack brady, i dont hes playing well enough to be throwin in here

Cavan team to face donegal:
James Reilly;

Padraic O'Reilly, Damien Reilly, Ronan Flanagan

Kevin Meehan, John McCutcheon, Robert Maloney-Derham

David Givney, Gearoid McKiernan;

Fergal Flanagan, Mark McKeever, Niall Smith;

Jack Brady, Eugene Keating, Brendan Fitzpatrick.

Cant see much change in that starting team. Positions I would say would be very different!

team looks about as strong as it could be up the middle. i dont think those 15 will start but it wont be far away. a better team than what andrews would have selected, that's for sure!

I hope it's dummy team lads. Maloney d aside it's a very weak defence. No natural Cornerbacks there. I'd have hayes in there for starters. I just hope Donegal don't run up a massive score on Sunday.......

Good strong team.Plenty of expierence mixed with youth,i dont think they will line out that way but the players will be more or less the same.I think we have power and pace that we hadnt under Val.K Meehan is back in his natural position,Delighted to see McCoutchon back in there a player val said was just not good enough,he didnt sulk,a true Cavanman,great to see jack Brady getting in as well,great ball player,and Bud also getting his chance .Now lets get behind Terry and the TEAM.COME ON CAVAN.

why would you need natural cornerbacks?? donegal play with one target man and players running from deep, could be a smart move...or that there arent any natural cornerbacks in the county at this level!! its a pity they couldnt have played together longer, its a better mix of youth and experience..

Dunne,Watters,Barkey,Fannin,McDermott miss out from the league team.

I see McDermott on the bench with Fannin. Is dunne not back from injury yet? Was watters injured or dropped from panel he's not on subs?

Id say killian clarke will start full back, and damian reilly will be out half back instead of derham. Flanagan will drop to half back line and prob pick up mchugh, leaving meehan as a sweeper big game needed from him. jack brady coming out to half forward line leaving big keating and bud inside. Mcdermott might start yet id say instead of bud. Kevin tierney could be in somewhere id imagine also. I assume jack brady will take all the frees if dunne isnt around. James reilly back in he needs to vary his kickouts.
All in all we will not get within an ass's roar of donegal i'm afraid. But good luck to them anyway!

That team is a pure dummy side
John mc Cutcheon broke his collar bone in a challenge game v downs subs last Sunday in breffni park - down won 16 Pts to 6
Why play a challenge week before a game
Why issue a team like this - who is codding who

Have been told from inside sources that the team named yesterday will not be the starting 15. There will definitely be a few changes and surprises!

hopefully this isnt the starting team as with donegals 13 man defence we will need more pace in the forward line aka martin dunne, mccuteon should not walk straight back on to the team as watters deserves to retain his place.
