oy which game was that in? Cant wait for tomorrow. I dont think covered stand is all ticket but youll have to be in early. I have tickets printed out. will be worried about midfield tomorrow as I seen the mckenna cup match where we were anialated (wasnt near our top midfield though) at midfield. As someone stated before Big Neil will even things out and then I hope mcfaddan can win this game.

I havent really seen much of the cavan team or u21s so who would you class as your main players? where will scores come from? who can shackle McFaddan if he decides to play?

Covered stand is 25e. Terrace is 15e. Our main player would be Gearoid McKiernan at midfield, if he's fit. Other than that, you'd be looking at Mark McKeever at centre half forward. He needs to have a big game.

Best of luck to Cavan today and win, lose or draw I hope we get at least a performance.

Best of luck to Cavan today, get out and do your best, show pride in the jersey, and who knows with a lot of luck we could pull it off and win the match.

15 euro to watch that game. Two Flanagan not good enough in my opinion. Midfielders no good. Backs done all they could under the pressure. Mossy should have started plain too b seen. Terry open your eyes.

BAD MANAGEMENT AND TATICS

Why cant cavan get it sorted out on the line,, leaving players on the field who can hardly walk, not making changes with players whos having a bad game,, and total wrong tatics?

Why is Ronan Flannagan always a certainty on every modern Cavan team despite consistently failing to perform, time to get rid of the dead weight on the squad !

two flanagans were poor but to be fair to cavan it was the same old crap from donegal ,you couldnt watch any game they take part in ,they started off not bringing there whole team back and cavan out scored them 4 points to 1 ,then the whole team took part in what you could only call hearding ,its kinda like watching sheep being rounded up by a collie, at least we tried to play football against them ,they were even programmed into not kicking out the ball long , and i thought that was part od the game ,change the game to 12 or 13 a side i say .

I thought we were excellent in the first 10 minutes, and after that Donegal reverted to the blanket defence. Our defence in the first half was reasonably good, the forwards/midfield let us down. I thought McLoughlin and Clarke, for two young lads making their debut, did ok. Podge got it hard marking McFadden, he gave him a bit of a runaround.

I thought McKiernan seemed to run out of steam in the second half. I just don't think Ronan Flanagan is up to it at county level, he didn't do a lot today.

Keating was excellent when the ball was delivered to him, very strong and powerful and swung over a few nice points. Jack Brady did well also. Niall Smith should have started, he has a great injection of pace.

The big problem for us was trying to break through that blanket defence. We dithered too much on the ball, and that meant Donegal had time to get numbers back and shut us out. We should have broken down the field at speed and delivered a first time ball. There's no point in delivering the ball and looking for a return against Donegal, you'll be tracked by someone, so the forwards should have shot on sight. How many times did the ball go in, only to come back out as far as the 45, and then backwards and sideways and then concede a turnover? Thats where the game was lost.

2 flanagans should have been gone at half time or before it!! i thought bud was doin grand! full forward line looked dangerous when McD came on!! In my opinion G McK was not near fit to on the game! what killed us was basically letting donegals number 4 have the ball from their kickouts and running to mid feild uncontested!!
the referee was a shocker!! noway was that a donegal penalty, he was fouled outside the box!! and cavan could have had another point because from where i was standing keatings kick i think it was was over the bar an alot of others said it aswell!

two donegal men beside me said keatons point went over ,also heard onr saying "this is the worst game ive ever seen "couldnt help but laugh is he not used to it by now ,gmc k is always like that too, very laboured in his running ,theres still a lot of players on that team i wouldnt have on ,we had better talent throwing out the water ,still in all i think donegal will feel worse ,we have to keep with this team now so lets make the best of it

Cormac Reilly the Meath referee, also the man who was disgraceful against us in the U21 semi final a few weeks back, was some how appointed to this ULSTER championship game. What a disgrace the GAA has become, he was a problem 3 weeks ago, he was a problem again today. The man obviously doesnt like Cavan at all , but they like giving him our matches.

He was itching NOT to award our late penalty, and also gave Donegal a dodgey one. It wasnt these incidents though it was terrible reffing in general, misuse use of his yellow cards and other poor decisions against us mainly.

That being said Donegal were by far the better team, Cavan DO NOT HAVE THE PLAYERS to beat the likes of Donegal, most of our players are under 23, the older heads like McKeever, Ronan Flanagan both didnt do enough today. Lacey, McFadden etc are a different league unfortunately.

Don't really know what fergal Flanagan was suppose to be doing. He looked like a bodyguard running beside other players. If this is what we have to put up with for the next 4 years well god help us. Players have no clue. Kicking the ball backwards is this the new trend? Management seem to have confused the players with switches before the game . Players didn't seem to know where to run to or who to Mark.all to complicated.. Midfield poor. No scoring forwards as per usual. No clue on the line all to complicated. Wires and radios and phones have taken over simple instructions. Poor poor performance by all concerned. Anyway only 4 years of this. Roll on 2017!!

Awful display altogether. Some of them couldn't even toe the ball up of the ground. We were slow and lethargic and played with the belief that we couldn't win. Very poorly prepared and some of them not county standard at all. Silly fouls given away and silly attempts to score from impossible areas. Keating was the only shining light today. On a separate note the referee was again clearly biased !!

Lads give it a rest and take your beating which was well Deserved. cavan were as defensive if not worst throughout the game and you dont rack up 1-16 without been a good outfit.. Nite nite close the backdoor on the way out....
