The bulk of matches must be scheduled to coincide with festivals, summer holidays, deb's and November rain. Ye can't be making sacrafices for the jersey when there is nothing there to sacrafice against. Sure t'isnt it like laps an mass an ice baths.. And how can you enjoy a committed run in the club championship if your missus hasn't cried at least twice that summer and your 'washter' mates haven't called you sad at least once? It's so worth it when they get back from festivals in in Belgium, all partied out- but you've scored a rake of points at trainin and had the bit-a-craic with the young fishcular therapist

A little bit of old fashion commitment is all it takes ;^)

I can see several teams not caring anymore as they know they are going to be relegated/ are already pretty much safe. This means a lower standard of football in the county this year thanks to whoever it was who came up with the genius plan to relegate half the teams in division 1 and the foolish club officials who didn't pbject. My club may only be a division 3 team, but this idea is absolute nonsense.

I dont think any of the teams can consider themselves safe yet, not even the gales, maybe 1 or 2 teams might feel they are gone already but i dont agree that anybody is safe yet.

My apologies, meant to say my club may only be a division 2 team. It shouldn't really affect us as we should avoid the drop (fingers crossed) but there is little to no hope of promotion so a lot of the lads are really just going through the motions as they know we won't be going up. Maybe not ''safe'' per se but when the top teams/teams circling around 6th/7th come up against the teams in the bottom 4 or 5 towards the end of the year they will have a distinct advantage compared to if they played them at the start of the year because the bottom teams will be heading towards (if not already) being relegated. It's unfair and I think it's an awful idea.

After good wins for Cavan Gaels,Lacken, Redhills and Kingscourt ,to mention but a few any predictions for next weekend.
Ballyhaise v Castlerahan-----The Rahan by a lot.
Ballinagh v Cavan Gaels-----The gaels by a lot.
Ramor v Cuchulianns--------Cuchulianns by 4 Ramor missing a lot i think
Mullahoran v Drumalee------Mullahoran to get back on track, heard they were in better form last week.
Kingscourt v Killagarry------Kingscourt by 4
Lavey v Gowna------------I fancy Gowna,by 3 to 5.
Lacken v Drumgoon---------Lacken by a lot
Redhills v Belturbet---------Redhills.

Its getting to squeaky bum time now .Ican see Redhills putting a run together.Castlerahan are the only unbeaten team, and will pass everyone out if they win thier 2 games in hand.Lavey are starting to feel the heat after loseing to Drumgoon.Kingscourt are scoring goals for fun (9 in last 2 matches)Gaels are hammering everybody.Killygary have put 4 wins in a row together and given themselves a real chance.

kinglarry,
Mullahoran in better form last week??? Sure Lavey beat them!
Redhills have one win. Cuchulainns and Ramor will be tight. Drumalee will be beaten, Killygarry will win, only if it's a home venue for them. Mullahoran will win if young Reilly keeps imitating Drogba and getting the frees! Redhills are in better shape with the return of Dunne and if Rocky keeps up the form. Not sure about the rest. Are all the games on Sunday?

Ballyhaise v Castlerahan----- Castlerahen shouldn't have much of a problem here
Ballinagh v Cavan Gaels----- Wouldn't be the surprised if Ballinagh got something here
Ramor v Cuchulianns-------- Will be extremely close, Cuchulainns by the narrowest of margins i'd say
Mullahoran v Drumalee------Mullahoran surely by 6 or 7
Kingscourt v Killagarry------ I fancy a draw in this one.
Lavey v Gowna------------ Lavey by 3
Lacken v Drumgoon--------- Lacken by 5
Redhills v Belturbet--------- Redhills, I can see them putting a good run together..
