there is only about 3 or 4 big clubs in cavan the rest belong in intermediate!!! and dont start on about the past....... cornafein still are the most successful senior team in cavan so should they be in div 1 because of this.....eh no!! topper (Cavan) - Posts: 53 - 09/05/2012 16:30:41 1168748 Link 0 |
I think the idea was that there are two many teams happy to sit in midtable year after year winning a few games a year and being content! If they are relegated at least they will compete n fight for promotion JamsieMac (Cavan) - Posts: 482 - 09/05/2012 16:39:50 1168757 Link 0 |

Well if i had to pick 4 id add Ballinagh to it, in terms of being able to beat the Gales when it comes to championship id say Kingscourt Mullahourn and Ballinagh are the only sides with a realistic chance. Mullahourn have been poor in the yeague so far but i expect them to step it up come championship time. SlipperyFish (Cavan) - Posts: 196 - 09/05/2012 18:22:29 1168859 Link 0 |
Was reding the Gaelic Life last week and just by chance noticed the table for the Armagh leagues, mainly because I was looking up the Crossmaglen results to see how they are ticking over...Anyway I noticed that they have 16 division one teams, 16 division two teams and a further 10 or 11 in division 3. I know the league format in Monaghan and Tyrone is something similiar to that...So I wonder why we think it is so necessary to decrease the number of senior clubs in the county when the stronger counties all seem to have big numbers in their top divisions... Are we right in what we're doing or are we kicking ourselves in the ass again?? laflour (Cavan) - Posts: 528 - 09/05/2012 19:01:25 1168887 Link 0 |
Are there any games this weekend? Bozo (Cavan) - Posts: 58 - 10/05/2012 10:13:44 1169115 Link 0 |
No fixtures in celt or on hoganstand. Clubs can refuse to play if they are not given enough notice, 4 day rule i believe. So a free weekend. Might be some reserve fixtures i think tony.montana (Cavan) - Posts: 179 - 10/05/2012 11:08:54 1169154 Link 0 |
there is no games this weekend because off the 13 day rule about senior inter-county players, thay can't play club football 13 days before their first USFC game. PRO (Cavan) - Posts: 92 - 10/05/2012 11:55:11 1169192 Link 0 |
