Would like to wish Castlerahan all the best Sunday against Mullahoran should be an exciting final as a neutral would like to see them win it with such a young team they have a bright future.

Mullahoran do the double by beating Castlerahan in the League final by 1-7 to 1-5. Poor game, terrible refereeing performance (for both sides) and played in a ground with no floodlights

Was in attendence at the league final today, mullahoran very very lucky to take the double! although neither side played outstanding football (this wasnt helped by alot of serious bad refereeing calls - by a female referee) Is there no male referees? whats going on? Mickey Lee, Joe McQuillan, Seagraves, Noel Mooney, Sweeney, also what about young dourneen from ballinagh, good referee over the last few months, he should be given a chance at senior level....

Whats next up ? U21 Finals Only left??

I thought todays game was very poor from two average teams who in other counties would find it hard to play in division 1 mullahoran deserved to win though as castlerahan were pretty ineffective at the business of the pitch missed a couple good second half chances to take the lead, thought the female referee down well under the presure and the intimadation she was recieveing from both dugouts fair play to her ,a very foggy and cold afternoon but preety good contdions overall .

Today is the 25th of November. It's a joke that the fact this game is being played this time of year . Regardless of who won the match, I doubt either team is lighting Bon fires tonight. As a county manager you would be expected to be there today and all you would get is two half fit teams struggling on a wet windy pitch. How would you expect a county manager to pick from today match. There a lot of problems with Cavan football and the main one is the fact the league started in early February and it's only finished in late November. And the is still reserve league and u21 finals to be played yet .

You mention referees you say are better than Maggie let me tell you Maggie is as good if not better than the ones you mention and many you did not mention. Maggie is a first class referee.
Maybe if players supporters and the throngs of mentors on the side lines respected the rules and respected the main official you may well have enjoyed a better game and games over the year. I bet you not one in Mullahoren are complaining about Maggie.
Who gives a toss if you were standing in muck up to your tonsils in fog cold and bad lighting its how it is regardless if it was the 25th of November or not.
I don't think too many care that the U21 finals are being played next week-end on the 3G or main pitch or where ever for those that are in the finals don't care even if its in December if they win them.
Banging dates months the county board there is a place to sort your issues and that is next month at the convention/AGM for the clubs have a voice if they want change. Not here hiding behind an alias ?

Well I'd say they would rather have it done now at this stage.I'm sure they will be happy to win at any time of the year. As a player it's hard to keep motivated when your training since mid January . It makes it a long year. And I don't think the county board would take any notion of me at a convention.

Awful game of football yesterday. Castlerahan dominated p[possession in the second half but didn't look like they knew what they were doing when it came to scoring. Refereeing was poor, the amount of really soft frees for both teams really detracted from an already poor game. Teams are so defensive now that kick passing and long range point taking are almost non existent! Boring, tedious stuff yesterday.

Very dissapointed yet again. We should have won that match. Were not able to take our scores,Two final losses in 2 years, not good.We dont seem able to preform on the big stage.Fair play to mullahoran they wanted it more, refereeing was poor.

I'm confused, league final 2011 was Kingscourt v Mullahoran, 2010 was Kingscourt v Cavan Gaels.
Maybe you meant two finals & two losses

He meant the Championship Final of 2011 where they lost to Gaels. Championship and league final losses in the last two years for Castlerahan

Fair play to Nail Lynch, winning the double in only his second year with Mullahourn!

Is Niall Lynch staying with mullahoran next year. A senior double is a fair achievement.

Was at the game myself.

Castlerahan did well to come back from conceding 1-1 in the opening 5 minutes. They dominated posession but kicked 11 wides in the second half according to their notes taker. So had to take their medicine.

Not to take away from Mullahoran who took the chances that they got. They got the more scorable frees in fairness. 1-1 maybe 1-2 from play I counted.

Awful conditions. 1 degree above zero and a foggy pitch with no floodlights was never going to make for a classic. Pitch was solid but slippy.

Referee copped a lot of abuse. She probably should have dished out a lot more yellow cards. She must have thrown the ball up at least a dozen times after giving frees one way or the other. The only way to stamp out the handbags was to start giving cards. But how she could see what was going on more than 10 feet away would have been a struggle. When in doubt she blew the whistle and as a result some soft frees were given. Overall though she did a good job considering the dreadful conditions.

It's a simple question Sean! What's with the 101 question marks for?????

Niall Lynch done a great job winning the double this year with Mullahoran, Mullahoran got off to a terrible start in the league and it was only around June when they got on a run.
The poster wants to know will he be hanging around or not, You either know or stfu.
