No Johnston was not on the bench he was in the stand. Gaels had a great ten minute spell just before half time where they blew Kingscourt away. In the second half Kingscourt were the better team. They will be there or there about when the championship comes around. Gaels full back line looked very suspect. Surprised that Daragh Sexton was only a sub thought he would be in the starting 15 this year after the year he had last year. Gaels need to bring on younger players.

Think all the teams that are going down were playing each other yesterday.Cuchullians beat Killagarry,Lavey beat belturbet ,Drumalee beat Drumgoone,and throw Gowna,Lacken and ballyhaise into the mix ,they would be who i would think would be favs to go down.Cant understand why they are getting rid of 7 teams out of div 1.

was at cavan gaels two games the weekend. They blew kingscourt away in first half and maybe took their foot of the pedal in second half. There forward line had 5 county players starting and also lyng who was not on the county. there second team was very good Saturday evening and where more enjoyable to watch than the game on Sunday. darragh sexton played Saturday night that was probley why he didnt play on sunday. they brough on two players that played Saturday evening darragh sexton and levi murphy.

gaelsutd I was at the game on sunday. From the list of players you named above Doc Collins and maybe Enda King are the only ones that we will see this year.I reckon Daragh Sexton is the future replacement for Chesty based on what I saw last year. I would have expected to see him and Niall Gurhy to start before some of the full backline that did start. Going by what I saw on sunday midfield could be a probelm this year.
