1097758 Radio Tower, Smart as you may be and adept with the cut and paste, but David's first appearence for County Cavan in an adult game was against Down in Breffni Partk in 2006 when he came on as a sub for about 20 minutes of the second half. T C was not in charge that day.
that is correct.

On the main Board I saw a post from a Meath man where he mentioned the "whedder" and condition of a pitch. It was the worst "spell of weather" I ever saw !!

Slippery Fish.
David has posted notice to Val and his staff that he is going all out this year for the number 8 shirt. I feel that if David was playing with a team like Cavan Gaels that he would mature into a fine player. One of the disavantages of junior players stepping into the Senior scene is that junior players day in and day out are used with pulling and dragging in all the games. I feel that if David is to progress into a great player that his club will have to get promoted or else he plays elsewhere

Lifeboy I am not making any suggestions that David move to Cavan Gaels but what I mean to say is to play with a top class club like the Gaels would progress Davids ability. Playing with the Gaels has improved mediocre players, that is why the Gaels are such a fine team. David is a fine player with Great potential that has to be harnessed. He has to play his Club football at a high level and as I stated if his Club does not get promoted moving onwards to a similiar club as the Gaels is a must.

Tom I don't think David would want the label that comes with your suggestion. He will be fine for he is in with our senior team and they spend a lot of time together so no need for him to move from his current club.

Sean,
I have good respect for your judgement of all matters GAA but I have to say that junior and intermediate football in Cavan is at such a low level/standard in Cavan that a move to good Senior Club Sean would do David a power of good. It would not have to be the Gaels but a good Club like the Gaels would advance Davids ability and thus serve Cavan well

I appreciate what you are saying and yes if he was playing at a higher level with a club it would stand to him but I really don't think its fair on any of the junior or intermediate and many senior clubs to have their star players poached by a senior club. He will develop with the Cavan Senior team and they are together for a good few months and if he stay's at home this year there is no reason why Mountnugent cannot go on a do better in their respective level.

Tom - if I were you I'd be more worried about the gaels keeping their players rather than getting some new ones!
