False sorry about that 10 seconds let me tell you and then what would you say happened ??? the door is not even closed to him Johnston FACTs despite what is being bantered about.

Well Sean the simple remedy is for the manager to come out and make a clear statement that the door is still open for ALL Cavan players.
A statement like that would clear up the matter once and for all and i will look forward to hearing it!! Why is the County Board so silent on something as important as this matter and which concerns the players and supporters they are supposed to represent ?
Management should have no problem making that statement so as to inform all Cavan supporters of what is happening and keep them up to date. It would go a long way to alleviate the concerns of the players and supporters and would be the right thing to do !!

I'm merely stating that we have won a few games as opposed to last year when we were losing by one or two points..there is no argument, seany Johnston is not playing for Cavan this year. I think we should move on and focus on players that are going to representing?! No point crying over spilt milk.or jelly in this case!

I dont know about anyone else here but this thing is rambling on too long and I for one am sick of it. Johnstone will not be playing for cavan this year so he can go wherever he chooses, we have to concentrate on the panel not an individual. whatever happened happened and nothing said or explained will change anything. Lets get on with supporting the players we do have and to be honest the current panel are probably loving this as it takes the attention of them for a bit and they have nothing to lose as nobody-even cavan supporters expect much from them.

yea but why is management not just telling everybody including the player and that would be the end of it ? the sicking thing is if he did go and was playing great football for kildare and had a decent run in the championship we WOULD be sick . and i hope now val sticks with these bunch of young lads and follows micky hartes footsteps and bulid with them ,because if antoher manager came in after vals contract and if he doesnt stay the new man would have to go without a top player .

Anyone know the transcript of said phone conversation? 10 seconds isn't a long time on a phone, did Val say "hello Seanie your dropped" and did Seanie reply "ok Val goodbye".There wouldn't have be much time for either of them to put their point across.No one knows what was said, all we know is that because of a 10 second phone call Seanie won't be playing with Cavan this year,and so be it.As for Cavan people being sick if Johnston plays well with Kildare,yes they'll be sick that he didn't do it for Cavan this last few years.

I think we should have more respect for the decision to drop him rather than Johnsons decision to not fight for his place!
seems a bit odd that he wants to transfer in my opinion, especially if his friends play for his club, then why move? it would be different if he moved from the Gaels also.

Having said that, i say best of luck in Kildare to Johnson. hope he shines, he's a 1st class footballer.

The management dont have to tell nobody anything, thats their business, But if this go belly up and they are relying on clubs to return them for another year you will soon hear the explainations coming out then.

In this case the story has made the national newspapers and numerous blogs. The management needs to make a statement i feel as it just will not go away without one. Also players who represent our county might not be getting fair treatment from management and what's to stop similar things happening in the future ? There is a black cloud hanging over this. I don't know who is to blame BUT the management i feel has to come out and tell us what happened in this case so we can all move on !!

jesus now that is some piece of writing. The moral in the dressing room and on the pitch at this moment in time is second to none. I have not seen this type of moral in a very long time and fingers crossed its carried out onto the playing surface.

Question for you posters other players are not back currently on the panel and I don't see any talk about them are you people saying they don't command the same respect as Mr Johnston. Remember this a forward is only as good as his supply, he can do nothing if nothing is coming forward.
Val Andrews has made his decision and its about time you people respected this decision and if it fails then shout your heads off.

Maybe you could, for a change, answer it !! Read through it slowly, it's not that difficult.
The manager should speak up about what happened and what caused him to drop, not just Seanie, but other established players too. The supporters deserve to know. If it's a matter that he no longer sees them as good enough then he should say so. If they were a disruptive influence in the dressing-room and he felt that they had to be got rid of then he should say that too !! Nothing sad about explaining things !!
