Seanie Johnston...

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

We have developed your own players look at our panel Fogerty, Dowling, O'Connor, Connolly, O'Flaherty, Loyns the list could go on, maybe he just wants to play with players that are up to his standard for a change.

Then why is he heading for Kildare? Why doesn't he go to a county of proven winners, there's plenty of them on his doorstep?

I see on the front page that johnston has had his transfer denied. I think it's time now he should forget about it. He should go back and play with the Gaels where he was born and breed. You can't just pick and choose where you want to play.

Goes down the DRA route. Seems he even had to produce pay slips and stuff that doesn't even concern the CCCC. Wonder did Rory gallagher have as much to produce!! Still he will never play for Cavan again if he has any sense! Just wish the rest of the Gaels lads wouldnt play either. Still Murray seems to have got sense! Concentrate on the club!

Richie. It seems you have higher regard to one player than you do to the cavan county team. Pretty pathetic.

Fredflint it's pretty pathetic that the best forward in the county is sitting in the house in Kildare. This management made no effort to undo what the previous manager did. Instead we are left with a bunch of substandard forwards pretending to be county forwards who between them won't muster 7 points from play on Sunday. The bottom line is if you want to replace someone, replace them with someone better or at least as good. Not substandard forwards who wouldn't get on a half decent club team. As you will all see on Sunday.

You said you didn't want any Gaels playing for cavan, ie you would like to see the cavan team weakened, all over your belief that johnson was badly treated. Like I said pathetic and very revealing about you. You would like cavan to lose wouldn't you?

How many points did Seanie get against Donegal last year. Richie. its not about individuals. Cavan have been playing as individuals for years now.. especially in the forwards. we need team work. perhaps the current bunch are not as good individually but what we need is for them to work as a team. One man alone will never win a game unless its against inferior opposition . I personally think Seanie is not good enough to play for Kildare so not sure what he is trying to achieve by dragging this out.

If Sj doesn't get this transfer in the end I hope Cavan management treat him with more respect then the previous one did and that Cavan supporters welcome him back with open arms. I don't think Kildare needs him as such but I'd welcome him as somebody who I think was treated disgracefull by Val Andrews and Co. and the GAA hiarachy. Wichever way it works out I wish Seanie and cavan all the best. I don't think SJ would make a huge difference to our chances, without denying his undoubted ability, especially with Conway, Kelly, Early and Lynch back, with players like Foley, JD, Bolton, Lyons, Flynn, Callaghan, Flannagan, O'Connor and the two O'Flahertys, not to mention young lads like Fogarty, Eion Doyle and Dowling coming through.

I can't help but feel that Seanie has been left with egg on his face from all of this. So if he ultimately does not get his transfer, what then will he do? Will the Gaels lads have any problem with him if he wants to return to them? Would Hyland call him back into the Cavan setup? If he did get a re-call would the Cavan fans welcome him?

Slash, in my opinion he should never be let wear a cavan jersey again. He made his bed let him lie on it now.

I'd be inclined to agree with you. He turned his back on Cavan rather than Cavan turning their back on him. Managers come and go, he knows that, there was every reason to believe he could make it back onto the panel with a new manager.

Jesus Richie you must love to see Cavan fall flat on their faces! I really cant fathom why u wouldn't want gaels lads to represent their county, because one player was dropped?who subsequently upped and left the gaels!!!!! its actually funny how you take a cheap shot at the current forwards and yet some of them are from the gaels. Just give Jelly the transfer already coz this is just getting sad and id rather focus was on the boys that are giving their all for the Blue jersey! Up Cavan

Fredflint maybe he didn't want to be in a cavan jersey, if he did would he of looked for the transfer to start with??

I noticed richej has not refuted my accusation that he wants cavan to lose. How pathetic is it that one of the loudest posters on here wishes his own county to be bet. Not a poster anyone should ever take seriously again.
