Where to now for seanie ??? Conveniently the CCC are not meeting until Monday. So unless St Kevins championship match is delayed til after this meeting, transfer will not be through in time. That leaves seanie with no club & no football for the summer.
Would he go crawling back to the Gaels with his tail between his legs ?
Would they even take him back now after all that has transpired ?
America bound perhaps ?

Lot of talk about second round of kildare championship being brought frowars to before leinster kicks off so will more than likely not need to worry about going anywhere.

Seanie needs to keep his head down and he will get his transfer . Prancing around with the Kildare team in the dugout is doing him no favours. When the transfer goes through if Kildare need him badly enough they will or can bring their own 2nd round forward to facilitate this.

Hopefully the CCCC will have realised how despicably they are treating a player and just make the decision in favour/or against. Not fair to wait till Monday to make a decision knowing its two late. Time for the suits to stand up and made a decision for a change instead of letting circumstance dictate the ruling. Can't always run and hide, looking to be the fountain of all that is good in the GAA. Time up, made a decision.

Yes agree completely. Whether we agree or disagree with the rights or wrongs of the transfer it's disgraceful way to treat a player . All it takes is someone man enough to make a yes or no decision.but that's the Gaa all over for you.

The CCCC is dead right to drag this out. In my opinion it's different to any previous legitimate transfer, a direct attack on the amateur ethos and a blatant attempt to abuse the inter-county transfer system to entice a player from county A to county B. The rules will eventually allow it, and it will happen, but the CCCC has every right to slow it down given the way it was orchestrated. Who does he think he is?

"a blatant attempt to abuse the inter-county transfer system to entice a player from county A to county B." Ondforty, would you care to back that claim up with some evidence as to how Kildare have done anything wrong in this affair. In particular what enticements were on offer? Not too bothered which way the decision goes tbh but why didnt Cavan fight harder to keep the player in the squad? From reading posts on your forum it is clear that he is not wanted by the majority of posters.

I don't normally intrude on other county's forums, but I'm making an exception for this issue. Below is a copy of my post on our own forum. Why doesn't someone in Kildare GAA call a halt to this? It's not bringing you any credit and has to be a distraction to your preparations for a busy year.

That is complete rubbish they have no right to delay a decision that is within the rules after all if it is within the rules it is not illegitimate, regardless to your belief or anger at the situation, it may be against the ethos of the GAA but this is not addressed in the rules. The CCCC are there to enforce the rules as they are written, not interpret the rules, that is why we have a rules committee and they didn't see any need to change it. Waiting until they know it's to late to have any effect if chickening out. Full stop. It is wrong on a player to be left in this situation by and GAA body.

Why don't you just develop your own players like every other county?

Murof, I'd really like to answer those questions believe me, but I think you know that this is not possible. The CCCC aren't fools either. Would you want a player who wants away so badly as to provoke a departure flashpoint?

We have developed your own players look at our panel Fogerty, Dowling, O'Connor, Connolly, O'Flaherty, Loyns the list could go on, maybe he just wants to play with players that are up to his standard for a change.

Whatever way the decision goes I'm sure all Kildare people will wish Cavan all the best against Donegal this weekend. Wouldnt surprise me if you play better without Seanie, often happens that way strangely enough when you lose your go to forward, maybe makes the tactics less predictable.

Same thing happened in Kildare when JD moved out to the middle. The other lads just begin to realise they need to step up

smart comment lovely lilly.however the rule should be from county or working in county. .what happens if colin cooper lives in dublin .works in kerry and from kerry wants to play with the dubs? can he by producing a esb bill etc.?and play with dublin.this is a major issue and gaa need to come down hard.as for players not up to his standard, can i pose a few questions.1 how many ulster or minor or senior medals has he?why was he dropped from cavan and his club team cavan gaels?..importing players has never helped kildare .lacey odwyder murphy garwin ware. use some of your own youth
