it was interesting to hear Seanie's reply to the interviewer's question about "why did you choose kildare" or what madeyou want to play for kildare" his answer was .. i am paraphrasing here..I always admired Keiran McGeeney and I like the way Kildare play the game..etc etc... One would have thought the obvious answer would be..... "Because I'm living in Kildare". s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5524 - 03/04/2012 21:20:47 1143215 Link 0 |

its a joke that 22 pages have been writen about a player that does not even want to play for us. he's more than likely reading all of this and laughing at the people who continue to post comments. he (and some of the posters here) need to get over themselves and move on. i wonder how many pages have kildare up about him? player99 (Cavan) - Posts: 29 - 04/04/2012 17:01:25 1143813 Link 0 |

Alot of it is to keep people informed. Alot of it is because we are doing poorly at present & on the verge of division 4 & asking why was this situation allowed to develop. tony.montana (Cavan) - Posts: 179 - 04/04/2012 17:07:16 1143820 Link 0 |

yes i get your point it is important to keep us all up to date, but it does not take all 22 pages to inform people. at lot of it is people just giving out about this and that. many people have complained about the same thing quite a number of times, i just thing that its going over the top. player99 (Cavan) - Posts: 29 - 04/04/2012 17:14:51 1143824 Link 0 |

Alot of ppl miss informed too. Remember he was told he wasn't going to be used this year. Well that's what he said. Val hasn't deny this or admitted this. So we only getting Seanies side of the story. If Cavan don't want him he can go where he likes richiej (UK) - Posts: 1430 - 04/04/2012 17:15:10 1143825 Link 0 |

Lets end the seanie johnston debate now! Why not concentrate on the u21s who actually want to play for their county. Let Johnston worry about his long commute to home!! Yes the cavan management handled the situation badly. sceptical (Cavan) - Posts: 544 - 05/04/2012 11:39:12 1144186 Link 0 |

I've read every post that has been placed on this site and seen both points of view..... lets draw a line under it and leave it be...in a weekend where we lost probably the most gifted no 15 ever to play our great sport...I wonder can every person on this site really put it into perspective when u look at john egan and how he played football and I wonder does mr johnston see that?? the whole s***t surrounding him and the whole transfer saga is getting beyond a joke... and to be honest I wouldn't even mention him in the same breath as mr egan. yes he wants to play county football and good look to him if he does for whatever reason and we can speculate till the cows come home but he was surplus to cavan and while I don't agree with it as I think he is the most gifted, natural forward we have...It really shows that he and cavan have achieved nothing. abit of perspective from our county team and johnston when u look at what kerry has lost and indeed gaelic football has lost in john egan!!!! Sean, I think he was referring to egan as being the best forward. fredflint (Cavan) - Posts: 1485 - 09/04/2012 17:57:43 1147223 Link 0 |

Why should this transfer not go through ? He is surplus to requirements here according to Einstein !! Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 10/04/2012 14:02:35 1147934 Link 0 |

Get rid of Val Andrews and overhaul the whole county management before we lose our best talent ! People are focusing too much on johnston and not enough on the waste of space that is the management ! prittstick (Cavan) - Posts: 43 - 10/04/2012 14:09:12 1147950 Link 0 |

Interestingly Cavan scored more in this year's league without Johnston than they did in last year's league with him playing. They also scored more when he was injured in 2010 than when he was playing in 2009. Inactive x5 (Cavan) - Posts: 1452 - 10/04/2012 15:04:32 1148035 Link 0 |

Jonsmith... Interesting that we finished with less points this year without Johnston than we did last year with him. 7 last year 4 this year. But as Val said yesterday we outscored Antrim 12 scores to 10 sure isn't that great.. And sure didn't we score the most against Donegal last year too...!!!!!! richiej (UK) - Posts: 1430 - 10/04/2012 16:18:07 1148144 Link 0 |

All true Richie.. And I agree that Val should not be mentioning statistics such as getting more scores than Antrim and scoring more against Donegal than anybody else, no doubt borne from a lack of positives to talk about but frankly it's embarrassing. Jonsmith I would have like to have seen Dunne and Johnston together . Look if Johnston was disruptive drop him from the team. Not the panel. It was a big mistake because he would have been an addition being brought on with a point to prove .that's my only gripe with the whole episode .. richiej (UK) - Posts: 1430 - 10/04/2012 17:25:38 1148234 Link 0 |
