It looks like great news for the Gaels if he stays,.. 5 county forwards on the panel plus Johnston and Lyng all looking for 1 of 6 places on the club team. Can only be good for the club.

I know Goldrick but at least he will more than likely have another club championship medal to go with the 7/8 he already has!!!
Now he wouldnt win one of them down in Straffon would he???

Call johnston back in

After reading that sean johnston's transfer has being turned down once again,i think its now time for val andrews to pick the phone up and put all there differences aside and call sean and ask him back into county set up.we all know its the right thing to do.cavan needs sean johnston

Cavan forwards are kicking on average of 14 wides a game while 4 top forwards (lyng and Johnston, smith and Mackey) are all sitting in the house!! Does that sound like good management? Mckeever was dropped from the team( not panel) came in and played very well against Sligo. Does that not tell the manager that dropping players off the team gets a better reaction that dropping players off the panel in October . I don't honestly think that Seanie could or would want to play for Andrews again.... After all it was Andrews who told Seanie he wouldn't be playing.. Not the other way around!!

bisto/johnston showed how loyal he is to the blue and white he should never be asked to play for Cavan again no matter how good he is, as for playing behind the new forward line are you mad.

Unless he prefers to watch a Kildare league game instead of watching Cavan he must be still hopeful of playing with Kildare.

I am sick to death listening to all the b******t about johnston!!! for whatever reason he was dropped....GET OVER IT!!! yes he is a talented forward and yes we may need him but please for christ sake quit going on about it....concentrate on what we have got in there....good young players coming through!!!! quit feeding this narcissistic ideaology that he may have believe he has because I'm sure he is delighted with the stir he is causing. correct me if Im wrong but has he ever spoken to the anglo celt regarding the whole theory about where he lives etc? from what I gather and read it has only been the larger national papers...maybe Im wrong!!

http://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-football/mcgeeney-up-in-arms-at-johnston-call-as-kildare-eye-appeal-3047423.html

Fair play to Seanie, and to McGeeney and the Kildare Co Board for taking on the Gaa with their appeal.
As McGeeney says " Cavan dont want him, the Lad just wants to play football and he has enough paperwork to satisfy the Garda and the banks but not the Gaa.

And so it goes on. This appeal will cost a few €€€.
Seanie's not getting much game time with all this nonsense going on.
