great to see at long last a bit pf physicality in the cavan set up with mcdermott galligan keating declan mckiernan moving the likes of johnstone lyng nesty and mackey aside.for too many years we were bullied and we are movng in the right direction with strong honest footballers...and they are all able to kick a point...and martin dunne proved last night that he can sprinke the touch of class....early days but moving in the right direction

If you were at the game last night you'd know the goals were mostly the keepers fault. That "ironic" post is simply embarrassing!

Sean O Rinn We havent heard any comment from you regarding new player Martin Dunnes first performance in the Senior team.? Strange that.

Is this because he wasnt on your list?

When Dunne was mentioned after last years championship you didnt seem too keen. Have you changed your opinion after seeing him Wednesday night??

Martin Dunne has been on my list a long time now sheva7 and his performance was well noted I am sure by all. Why would it be strange I have not really being making any comments at all about the players and as this was Martins first time taking part at some stage so why is it strange for I made no posts regarding last Wednesdays match.

I just can't find any post where Dunne was on your list. Maybe you would show where you said that.

Since Martin Dunne was playing at underage level I rated him when he was with the U21 and left them I rated him. If I go to my PC his name will be with many others who have not got to the county level for one reason or another. I hope he keep focused and keep training as he is and he will be a long time county player, all down to attitude temperament discipline this applies across the board.
Martin Dunne has being doing the business for the Gaels a while now and anyone worth their salt would have seen how he can play.

sheva7 I had my reason for not mentioning him last year and you know why as well ?? I will not go into detail. No question about his ability to play for Cavan Gaels and if he can transfer this into county level great

Sean O Rinn there is probably a good half in Dunne this time of the year and when pitches dry up we will see the best of him. Problem nowadays is A good forward is swallowed up now in this defensive system that teams play. That's why it's important to have 6 forwards of near equal ability. Lyng and Dunne linked well with the Gaels this year but that won't happen at county level. We are creating chances eben though finishing isnt a good as it should be.But it's the backs where we have the main problems. All the hard work up front wasted if we going to get skinning after skinning in the backline. It's worse than last years backline

I am sure Val and his management will work with the back line a few weeks to go so we have to get it right if division2 is the target which I hope that it is.
