Great result, and a great performance.
Val did say that they would be focusing on tackling, at it was clear that did occur, I felt that the improvement shown in the tackle over the Derry game was huge.
If this is indicative of the improvement that will continue to to occur, then we are heading up the right road.

Maybe now management should concentrate on shooting because we knocked up another 14 wides yesterday. When Donegal dropped players deep they forced us to shoot from long range. Woeful shooting after good approach work. The worrying thing is if Johnston is not going to play well then there doesn't seem to be much experience left to come into the forward line. That's a big worry because yesterday's 6 are in my opinion not good enough.

Hate to burst your bubble but that was barely half strength team we had out there yesterday ! About 3/4 players who started yesterday would start in champonship, if even. All the same well done you were the better team on the field yesterday! But..... we'll be back to get you in may ;-)

Why are you so sure that it will be negative in Champonship ?? And may I add there were a few times yesterday when yous were trying to beat us at our own game ;) And the sad thing is yous did do a few times !!! Im not counting my chickens but just saying we didnt have durcan, neil mcgee, paddy mcgrath, frank mcglynn, leo mcloone, neil gallagher, rory kavanagh, mark mchugh, michael hegarty, ryan bradley, colm mcfadden or michael murphy & patrick my brearty only came on. so add them into th equation and the game in may will be considerably different!

I know the way it was and who you played but winning becomes a habit and I am thankful we pulled one yesterday and I hope Wednesday night on the main pitch again looking forward to some football great to see it. Cheers

Thought team played reasonably well yesterday with some stand out performances. F Reilly was ok. Some of his kick outs were poor. Needs to be vocal. Full back line was solid throughout. Thought F Slowey done well when he came on. Half back line - J Mc Cutcheon kept giving the ball away and was not surprised he was taken off. O Downd and P Reilly were solid. B Waters I thought was outstanding throughout. Defended very well and joined in attack when moved to half back. Dont think he gave the ball away once and was strong on ball. Midfield was very good. McKiernan was excellent for large parts and kicked some great points and caught some great balls. McGibney was fair. Half forwards worked very hard, picked up alot of breaking ball. N Smith was pick of them. He was a good outlet to release pressure off defence. Full forward - All played well. Keating showed really well and showed great strength to retain pocession. Galligan scored some nice frees and done well for penalty. N McDermott also showed well and worked hard.

Man of the match martin dunne, bud showed well for ball but gave away most of his passes, keating, mckiernan. conor mclary was our best forward throughout the whole game, thought fintan reilly was suspect in goal a few times.

3 goals last night and 6 in three games is bad, but still winning last night with 3 goals against and win without goals is good.

Its ironic that this past 2 games it seems to be the Gaels forwards that are saving Andrews since he dropped Lyng and Johnston.
Maybe he should use some of the Gaels backs as well after conceeding 3-5 to some University team!

Personally speaking after the way Lyng and Johnston were treated without proper explaination by the management, id perfer if NO gaels player bother under this present management .
But seemingly they do and i can only wish them the best of luck,

My point is that after letting in 5-13 in 2 games against a Donegal team that had 4 regulars and a student team should management not look for some gaels backs as well? Surely they as Co Champions must be better than whats been on show lately?

Cavan have played 3 games averaged 15 points which is much better than last year they have had 15 different scorers but are letting in too much

I suggest you go look up the meaning of 'Ironic'.
