Can a club put forward a vote of no confidence, or does it have some form of elaborate process, where triplicate forms are filled out and a ceremony on a full moon with napkins on our heads, while dancing around the burning embers of a ford triumph?

A club can do it but the County Chairman can refuse to take it. Then there has to be a majority in favour..

In answer to cav01 or Cavangaafan or whoever you are

If you want to propose a motion you should join a club go to meetings help Out generally voice your opinions then go down to the county board and knock yourself out with proposals

Alternatively you can snivel and snipe and garnish half truths together see how that works

A flying visit bye

It seems to be 3 or 4 people on this page banging on.Is it that important to know every little thing going on in the county set up.Do you need to know what drills they are doing as well?
the manager was appointed.it doesnt really matter who he is.His takes the training, picks who he likes, plays how he likes and we as supporters go to matches, speculate who will be playing, support the players on the field and debate the issues in the pub afterwards. Its how it works.
Far too much idle talk on this forum about sacking andrews and demanding to know whats going on etc etc.Give it a rest please

I hear from a close source in breffni park that the 6 Gaela players that are in the panel along with a drung player and swanlinbar players are all to leave the panel this week because of the 6 day a week training Regime and the way Andrews as conducted it.

And the season hasn't even started yet !!!

Dont know why everyone is getting worried we will see these dropped players in about 5 months time. We will start are usual league campaign with a loss or two and val will be calling them up to come out and play to save his bacon (FACT)

the idea was to bring an anglo celt to cavan by 2017 was the year correct??? well i personally applaud the decision because the players that got "axed" will not be there in 6years...

to succeed we need a long term plan and this means using 30 honest players..the best players in the county?? not necessary but the most committed and willing to play to a system lined out by the management in order to have a chance of achieving our long term goals.

i think its short term suffering (although its been a long term suffering to watch) in order to achieve long term success...we have a good core of u21's and minors plus other younger players to work with so i don't believe johnson et all are needed anymore, in my opinion their day in the sun has passed and we need to move on.

Problem in Cavan is everyone thinks that they know everything. The amount of rubbish being thrown around here at the moment is unreal. I don't enjoy looking at this site any more. Can we not leave things the way they are and see how we get on. The last time Andrews was in charge people liked how he conducted things. Why have things changed so much?

Why do people have such expectations of the Cavan team at this point in time and why are people so animated about matters when it is only November? There's a serious amount of negativity on this message board. I don't know what Andrews did on RichieJ but he appears to have a serious grudge against him. I reckon let them build and see where they go. What is the worst that can happen? Relegation to Division 4 possible but unlikely.

We need to stop criticising lads on panels. Imagine how a young guy would feel if he came on here and saw lads saying that he shouldn't be in there etc. I know myself from playing club football that your confidence takes a knock if you think people are talking about you. In my opinion anyone who is in training and trying their best deserves our respect and support. I'm sick of going to Cavan matches and watching players who appear frightened to make mistakes.

Well said.
As usual in Cavan we have a certain brigade who think they are the authority on everything football related.
Andrews deserves independence in his role as manager and lads in there training 5/6 times a week in November deserve better than to come on here and read that they shouldn't be on the panel. The County Board, Andrews, Hyland, every player in Cavan on the panel or not want Cavan to succeed as much as we do and more than most.

So we all agree that Andrews is the best football tactician we have in the county????????? I really hope Johnstone makes a stand and never played for Cavan again.. And I hope his club backs him too. Ppl wondered why the Gaels players never played with the County.. That's why..

the manager was appointed
.
actually a joint mangership was apointed...Val Andrews was never ratified by the clubs as a stand alone manager

Far too much idle talk on this forum about sacking andrews
you the4 first to suggest sacking the manager, I have not agreed with what he is doing or how he is in the position to do it...but I haven't suggested firing him

I think your logic is flawed, as Michael Brennan is much older then most who were axed

We need to stop criticising lads on panels.

the critisism is not about players on the panel, it is not directed at them, it might name players, but done to ask for some sort of explaination as to why we can axe 6 players of Johnson, lyng, nesty, toasty, reilly's caliber and hope to replace them with players who struggled to get on their own club team.

richiej,
it was amazing, I had me tea and come onto the forum, and a whole host of people suddenly appear as if by magic, all in defence of the status quo.

funny that,
strange to say the least
it feels as if someone's cage has been rattled
