Redhill bet gowna 2:10 to 0:11. Gowna only scored 1 point from play and it came in the last 7 min. Rory Dunne scored 2 great goals.

Castlerahan have been hit hard by emmigration, but i still fancy them to get through, if they stop making excuses. Gaels were bet, and by the better team too, ballinagh looked hungrier and probably got the rub of the green regarding a few decisions, but all the same great performance by them, will take a good team to beat them. However I think this defeat will spur the gaels on, anthony forde will convince the players the whole county is against them, unite them, and they will hammer ramor next week to reach the quarters.

you say Ballinagh may have got the rub of the green. Well the Gaels got an injection with a penalty that in my opinion never was. No matter a lot of work with this gaels team for they have now tied up the big stars last night by bringing them on so all or nothing now. They will qualify however for the next stage. I think its time now for the gaels to start the up and coming stars.

Cheers.
When are these postponed fixtures going to be played. i.e gowna v castlerahan & drumalee v denn. You say denn v drumalee is next week, but that leaves killygarry & cuchullains with no game then next week as they have played each other on saturday. Presumes the laste 2 league games will be pushed back a week now

I was at the Mullahoran-Lavey match and Ballinagh-Gaels match this weekend.

Mullahoran were by far the better team in the first half, continuing on from a brilliant second half against Kingscourt. Highlights included a barn-storming run by Dermot Sheridan who rifiled a shot to the goal early in the first half. Mullahoran got the benefit of a couple of 50/50 decisions (some very dodgy decision though) but were well worth their lead at half time. Don't know what was said to them at half time but I never seen a team come out so different. Mullahoran started getting niggly and doing stuff like hitting off the ball and arguing with the ref. There was no need for it when they were leading well and Lavey pulled it back to a few points but Mullahoran held on for the win. Mullahoran are way better than they showed, and missing players like Michael Brady and Raymond Lynch didn't help things. They also lost Ciaran Shiels to injury early on, and Christy Sheils was sent off 10 minutes from the end. It was deserved though, they were two stupid yellows to get for bad fouling. Mullahoran still have a lot in the tank and will be there or there abouts in October.

Ballinagh were by far the better team than the Gaels. Thats a good wee team they have. Ballinagh had the ball in the net in the first minute, but the whistle had gone for a foul. They kept the pressure up and scored some lovely points. Gaels always in touch though and were never out of sight. Jelly missed a couple of chances that he would normally put over in his sleep. Anyway, Ballinagh had a good win but there is nothing worse than a wounded Gaels team. They will have to be watched.
