Ochonlir, don't read too much into the Lacken result they have no team between injuries, suspension and emigration.

I understand Lacken have been weakened but it was a massive score to put up and the gaels have moved back up the league table and seem to be getting things together at the right time
it will be very interesting if Ballinagh or Ramor beat them though
whether the gaels win or not the championship is the most open in years

I wouldnt read into lacken's defeat, I have a gut feeling they are putting all their eggs into the one basket in the hope they will beat ramor and ballinagh. Their performance was pedestrian at best, also rested one or two players i am hearing, but that could be pub talk. Redhills have got a kick up the back side and it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back. It will be equally as interesting to see if belturbet can push on against castlerahan. Denn look like they are in trouble with a real lack of fire power up front. Killygarry and cuchulains are in the driving seats there. Kingscourt will be kicking themselves at their second half display, but mullahoran did not let them play and the introduction of paul the gunner pushed them over the line. Lavey will be no pushovers this friday eve, they have built up a nice bit of momentum through the league.

Agree totally with Killygarrylad, something has to be done about referees, and linesmen. I watched a player grab another several times throughout a game at the weekend by the privates-the linesman saw, but hadn't the guts to raise the flag. Another player in same game was fouled constantly, pulled and dragged, and the only free he got was a soft one near the end that wasn't a free! It's a sad fact, but players and managers always comment on the ref before a game, because it's obvious at that stage what the standard is going to be like. Certain managers seem to have total control over certain referees, as we have seen throughout the League to date. It's not fair to the teams, all anyone wants is fair play. I would suggest that if a ref has an unsatisfactory game, he takes a cut in pay! That would sort out the problem, after all they are being paid, (I know it's a thankless job, but money talks), and they have an obligation to be up to the task.

I was at the ramor / ballinagh game as a neutral. First of all Niall McDermott nudged his player for the 2nd goal which was a free out and secondly the referee favoured Ballinagh throughout the whole game and gave absolutely nothing to ramor which was a disgrace.

Sorry to be pedantic, however there should be a capital S and I at the start of your sentences.
