ballinagh ramor game was intense stuff could of went either way ballinagh should have seen the game out 2 many wides and shots dropping short.dont agree with your post about gaynor do he didnt react once to the abuse he recieved from the players and managment of ramor..and referee was playing out the game 4 a draw ballinagh won a short kickout in ramors 21 and ref blew the whistle...if ramor and ballinagh finish on same points is it score difference or play off???

It will go on score difference... Killygarry bet Denn 1.14-1.08, while Belturbet accounted for Redhills on a scoreline of 2.08-0.08..

redhills were nieve. bud & jayo were left as 2 man full forward line and won everything, redhills management never made a change to drop a sweeper in on front of them. think the forwards only scored 2 or 3 points from play.

I saw three senior championship games this weekend. My first point is that the standard of refereeing was terrible and needs to be examined by the county board and if they fail to take action Croke Park should be notified. Ballinagh v Ramor was a good game to watch and both these teams could have won it and they will trouble the Gaels and beat Lacken so that group is not over just yet. Killygarry bet Denn comfortably and lead all game in a poorly refed game. Denn are relegation candidates, they were never a brilliant footballing team but they were always a team with plenty of heart and determination this is now gone. They have no spirit which is disappointing to see. Kingscourt v Mullahoran was a good game with Mullahoran just shading it. The referee had a huge impact on the game which was unfair to the teams. Ciaran Shiels was very impressive at fullback for Mullahoran. Again both these teams will be in the shake up for the last four and the final.

ciaran shiels was outstanding at full back for mullahoran. 6 nil down after 13 minutes, it was an outstanding last 45 minutes by mullahoran. they just closed out kingscourt completely. not really surprised with the belturbet result, they are always a different team come championship. looking forward to round two and seeing a few more teams in action.

What happened kingscourt last evening? Has it proved that last season was a fluke?

I watched 1 and a 1/4 of the senior games the 1/4 one was the gaels match as it was a no contest. The sad thing here is that Lacken were completely out of the comfort zone and as it stands I am not sure they could even compete in Junior football they have too many players missing. It would be very hard to say how good the gaels really are. The sad thing here is that if this is how it is how can we have a Cavan team standard is that bad. The gales did their business and looked good. The match last night Mullahorn and Kingscourt as it stands nether would beat the gaels. Philip Brady played okay but needs to start training and get fit for he is a very handy player to have up front and would be a very handy part of the county team going forward.
I don't normally comment on referees and I will keep it this way.
What I will say however that maybe some referees are not just good enough for senior refereeing yet and should be graded. This I feel is the best way to put an end to all the negativity regarding this side of our game.

Just one little note I have a feeling that Kingcourt feel they will handle Lavey easy and both Mullahorn and themselves will qualify for the next stage.

I think Redhills will come out of their group. I fancy them to beat Gowna and Castlerahan. Think they just needed that beating yesterday to wake them up. Belturbet were very poor, Jayo was very poor also. Conor McMahon and Turloch Mooney played well for Redhills.

Kingscourt might not get out of that group, lavey will be no pushover.

Kingscourt will not be taken Lavey lightly esp since Lavey bet them in the league a few weeks ago.
