Sean. If you think S King is a good man for a selector and C Brady is not then you have got to be off your rocker.

This has to be a wind up

Can you please show me any post where I said I was happy with Stephen King or anyone else other than Val Andrews, I make no bones about it I am 110% behind Val Andrews as manager for I believe he will deliver the goods. I will reserve my comments on the others.
Looks like it will be as we were from what I hear that the Junior management will remain so no change.

Why not get McGrath as minor and u21 manager and get men like mickey graham and c brady to work with him as selectors. That way they could learn their trade from a respected and experienced coach like McGrath...The thousands of euros been spent every year on training County teams with little or no return. If it was a PLC they would be all ran long ago.Get McGrath in for 3 years with the minors and u21 if he is intrested..Maybe then we might start winning something at minor level. Local coaches might learn something from him .....It COULD BE A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

SEANNORINN.....If your 100% behind Val Andrews well you have to be 100% behind the men he pick as selectors too otherwise your just contradicting yourself just like you usually do..You want Andrews so bad well you take all he brings including his selectors.
As i said im not convinced he is the right man simpley because he hasnt done it at inter county level anywhere he has been. I hope for the sake of Cavan Football im wrong.
King can bring something to the panel if he can transfer his own enthusiam he had as a player to panel members..Whether thats enough remains to be seen..Personely i would have perferred a selector with experience working with the backline because i feel over the last few years that has been our biggest downfall. So my choice as selector for that reason would have been Jim Reilly of kingscourt. I Would have also gone for Cha Donohoe from the gaels or Donal Donohoe from Laragh to work with the forwards ..But thats only my opinion

As I stated I am 110% behind Val Andrews and I will reserve my opinions on the others. DID HE PICK THEM ARE YOU SURE OF THAT ???? Terry Hyland worked with him the last time but the others. I don't know.

Seannorinn......Im hoping at least that he would have the authority to pick his own selectors..If not the case well i then understand why we didnt go for and get a high profile manager..If he didnt pick his selectors well who did??..I Remember previously one particular selector worked under about 3 different managers so maybe the CB are STILL pulling the strings and calling the shots like before..IS IT A CASE OF NEW FACE SAME SYSTEM?

All the talk here is about Andrews but you have to remember that they have been appointed as joint managers and Hyland will have just as much say...

Personally i find it strange that they were appointed as joint managers as i would always be of the opinion that there should be 1 boss. It seems like they wern't sure which one to appoint so the went with both of them. I just hope that they can communicate really really well because a joint manager scenario can be to the detriment of a team...

I don't think it matters a lot who the selectors are as could be though enough getting ideas across with two managers in place. That said a selector needs to be able to read the game while being completely distracted from the game...

I still think we should have appointed a young managers with good player pedigree as they tend to know what need to be done. As that has not happened we have no option but to get behind them and give them the benefit of the doubt....

I think you will find that he worked as you say under three diferent managers well if its who I am thinking off he worked with more but was not a selector???

listen i think things are been taken a bit serious.andrews is obviously a decent trainer (no reason to question this) hyland obviously knows cavan football with success from being with lavey.stephen king -dont really know what he brings but hes there anyway.

ive gone to a lot of games over the last few weeks and the footballers are simply not there so all this talk about been embarassed of the county and we should be this and that is rubbish. face facts if andrews gets the team playing to a system and instills hard work and determination into the team we should be happy.who are we kidding were not good enough simple!im sure he'll over see the underage structures in the county and hopefully he'll be able to bring these great minor teams through
and richie give it up about pete mcgrath.we have a management team now so just get on with it.we're not goin to get a miracle worker

seanorinn are you for real or what ? first you slate kieran brady by saying to never allow him near inter county management & now you are saying that you would love to work alongside him as somekind of guru to control his discipline. i'm sure brady would be thrilled to have your expertise available. your reference that his discipline reflects on the team is also wrong as was it not kingscourt that were reduced to 14 players ? management is a passionate job just look at 2 of the top ones brian cody & liam sheedy driving their teams on along the lines. i think you are confusing discipline with heart & passion because you are to long watching statues along the sideline for cavan teams. dont know what your grief with brady is but we are in desperate need of passion in this county to drive our teams onwards & upwards

For me to explain to you and others how I think could not be posted on here in a few words. I get on very well with K.Brady always have; his passion is not in question at all for its plain to see he has loads of it. I am directing solely on his temperament this needs to be curtailed and yes I could solve that area for it would be far better to put all your energy into what you have inside the line than what goes on outside the line.
If you wind yourself up and keep attacking what is going on outside the line you definitely are not doing what you should be doing and that is concentrating on what your 15 player are doing.
It matters not to me how many players were left on the pitch from the other team only what happens on your own team.
I would love to work along side him yes and I make no bones about it. I am not a guru but I have completed my course on control management and yes I would be able to get him to divert his energy in the right direction.
Is mise Sean O'Rinn

Know we not in good shape with our row going on here but i think the cavan co footballers have a bad attitude and any manager would have a tough job getting any sweat or tears out of a lot of them

After what i saw in Breffni Park on Sunday its time Mr Andrews and Co backboned his team with Gaels players.......... They are Team Players, each and every one of them. Thats something thats been lacking at County Level for a few years now. Domnic Reilly head and shoulders above any body else on view yet ive never heard any 1 on here call for him to be selected. ......Val Andrews.........There 7/8 Gaels players there to build a team around... If your looking for unselfish players ... Just like Armagh did with Crossmaglen and Antrim did with St Galls..
