Any players standing out in final stages of the minor or under16 championships, any hopes for the future? Have these amalgamations given any of the better players a chance to play better football or to shine?

St Joesphs won by a point 1-4 0-8 poor enough game but Joesphs deserved their win and it proberly should have been by alot more as they had a high number of wides in each half. Anyone know when the other semi is ???

your right fatboy2010. cud be a gud final! ballinagh have gt through the harder group in dis division but this set of ballymachugh players are gettin use 2 finals, withj most playing in their 4th final in 2 years! id say that ballinaghs tuffer games games will stand to them and guide dem 2 a narrow victory, bt cud really go either way!

Only for the Blackwater goalie the beating would have been so much worse. He pulled off some magnificent saves. Blackwater did not turn up. Their "big" players did not perform.

Eire óg had some excellent players and would have given any Div 1 team a good run.

One has to question how Blackwater got to the final that match did nothing for minor football. Was there a problem with players attitude from the Blackwater Combination/Amalgamation

@ seanorinn

Only problem w.r.t. "attitude" was a thinking among far too many of them that they could go out to "celebrate" the Leaving Cert, go out and celebrate the Fleadh, still have their usual weekend nights out, and still think they could play a final on the following Tuesday night. Their mind-set was wrong, their preparation was wrong and their application was wrong.

BW gave many teams head-starts all year, this final was one head-start they were never going to claw back.
