ryan_giggs you're obviously a gaels man, judging by the brains of that selection i'd say you're around 13?

The mid field at the start was Cullivan and Givney, Givney was taken of after what seemed like he pulled his hamstring. Cavan really won this game in the first half against what seemed on paper a very weak Dublin team. Players from Cavan that stood out today were the two mentioned above McKeever, Paul Brady, O'Dowd McGuigan Sheridan Mackay Flanagan D McKiernan had a good game. I don't expect that Brennan or Philip Brady will be on the starting line up in five or six week's time I will be very surprised if they are. After the results of late I expect a win will do us no harm so this is a positive.
If I may please don't get excited about our prospects in the championship but if the team takes on the positive attitude of our new chairman we might go far but will they/???????????????????.

We may aswell start planning for next year. Sure the only mistake you can make in sport is to give up.
I base this team on players who have played or show the potential to play at the top level.
Hopefully the palyers listed below can show top form for theirs clubs in this years championship
and can bring that form onto the county team.

1: James Reilly

2: Michael Hannon
3: Dermot Sheridan
4: Paul Brady

5: John McCutcheon
6: Eamon Reilly
7: Martin Cahill

8: Nicholas Walsh
9: David Givney

10: Ronan Flanagan
11: Nesty Smith
12: Cian Mackey

13: Bud Fitzpatrick
14: Ray Cullivan
15: Sean Johnston

16: Eoin Elliot
17: Keith Fannin
18: Declan McKiernan
19: Gavin Duffy
20: Martin Reilly
21: Michael Brides
22: Gearoid Mckiernan
23: Enda Gaffney
24: Mickey Lyng
25: Sean Reilly
26: Mark McKeever
27: Barry Reilly (Kingscourt)
28: Oisin Minagh
29: Niall Murray
30: Rory Dunne

And before anyone says anything about Walsh, It'd be worth seeing how he pairs with Givney at midfield atleast for a challenge game.. Plenty of options on the bench too if appropriate changes are made when necessary.

You cannot put Paul Brady and Martin Cahill in the full back line for both are half forwards who like to move forward

Seanorinn

Give us your team for six weeks time. Have you any news on Givney injury? Not the end of the world if McKiernan is in the states he has alot of football ahead of him.

sorry about the above error it should have been both are half backs who like to move forward.
Daivid will be fine and yes he and Geroid will be the midfield in a few years time. David Givney is developing into a fine midfielder.
To name the Cavan team at this moment in time would be near impossible to tell you the truth

We have to start with rory dunne full back - he's good enough and i don't think there's a better full back in the county. We need to start builiding our team as strong as possible up the middle. David should be midfield against Fermanagh and we should maybe try Dermot Sheridan midfield too. He's playing there with Mullahoran and if i'm not mistaken played a bit there with DCU as well. Its easily noticed that a lot of the suggested teams here are split in their decision whether to play Ronan Flanagan a back or a forward - Tommy Carr has to sort this out too as it has to be unsettling for the player not knowing from 1 week to the nxt whether he's going to be a half back or a half forward.
