The following is an alternative team to that put out on Saturday. The only two untouchables are James Reilly and Seanie Johnston the rest could be replaced. (Please remember I'm not saying that they all should). Now I am fully aware that there is injury and attitude problems with some mentioned below and some are not available but is there anyone else that could be considered. Surely we are not making best use of all the talent in the county BlueHeaven (Cavan) - Posts: 75 - 30/06/2009 18:45:10 328021 Link 0 |

j.reilly we dont have much to choose from in defence so rather than be a defensive team we should be attacking and that will take the pressure off, bisto kid (Cavan) - Posts: 492 - 30/06/2009 21:09:44 328106 Link 0 |

Tommy Carr was in fact at championship games. He was definitely in Breffni for the gaels mullahoran match and again for the gowna cuhullains and ballyhaise killeshandra match. Heard he was at the killygarry denn and lavey drumalee matches too. Thats 5 games in one weekend at least, dont think you can accuse him of not seeing club matches. i wouldnt have james rielly in goals again if all hes goin to do is kick balls towards our midfielders who cant catch a thing!!! he should look for the short option into space!!! as for mckiernan at midfield wat are ya thinkin he wz roasted at the armagh u21 game,, i'd have david givney at 14 with jelly an pierson in the corners jinky15 (Cavan) - Posts: 271 - 03/07/2009 12:52:11 330988 Link 0 |

Jinky, he did play some short kickouts in the second half and nothing came of them either. He can only play short kickouts if a half back is alert and looking for the ball and there wasnt enough of that. Brides was always loose I will admit but his distribution was shocking. Jinkey15, There was plenty of short passing from the goalkeeper last Sat night. Were you not at the game ? What happened then is that after a bit of tipping and tapping and running into opposition forwards we again kept losing the ball. Flanagan got several short kick-outs but ran straight into trouble and gave it away !! Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 03/07/2009 13:55:32 331078 Link 0 |

Is it just me or why those everyone select Hannon, never seen him play a good game.. also Pauric Reilly is way of the pace for county level in my opinion.. these players will never turn posession over for the team.. they always rely on a breaking ball or luck , will never breaking down an attack for us. john76 (Cavan) - Posts: 33 - 06/07/2009 14:20:58 334071 Link 0 |

agree with john 76 but in fairness its not just them 2 who are poor the whole defence is bad. cavanscout (Cavan) - Posts: 78 - 06/07/2009 22:54:50 335006 Link 0 |
