gaels is an amalgamation aswel probably 2 young 2 remember dat fooligan! mc glade did well on barry reilly but to say he roasted him is a bit much,bosco was d best player on show monday looked far more comfortable in d back line even though he is very light for d county in my opinion!

would you not want to win division 2 or 3 with your own club with your family and friends before winning division 1 with people who you did not grow up with??
i certainly would and it is clear the st joes players have no pride in their respective jerseys whether it be killeshandra or arva.
and i can guarantee everyone that if in the near future that killeshandra have a good enough team to compete on their own in a top division that arva will be out of the equation without hesitation.
In amalgamations teams will use other teams when they have a weak side but as soon as a half decent side comes along the supporting team will get the boot.
And yes i know Cavan gaels is an amalgamation that was done back in the 50's. 1957 some time in february as far as i can remeber. i was just a young lad at the time. but what we're talking about here is amalgamtions that have been formed recently you fooly. nobody counts cavan gaels asa an amalgamation anymore so stop trying to cause hassl and go back to school.

i however accept that redbridge are an amalgamtion and i apologize i forgot about them in my previous comment. but you wait and see. once redhills have a good team coming along they will ditch butlersbridge in a flash. mark my words.

fooligan, ya should quit talking about things you know nothing about. In the last five years killeshandra have had several groups of players come along who were as good as they could have wished for. im talking about players like a fitz, c reilly, c owens, luby, sean & dec mck, tomas reilly, d higgins, d tighe, r braiden, s murphy-add to that the likes of bosco, doherty, king c sweeney and finbar rudden coming through and you get an idea of the quality of players killeshandra have. the reason they are amalgamatin is because the simply dont have the numbers to compete on their own at underage- and wont have for the distant future. the current u14 team has a grand total of 14 players and the u12 have a similar number, including 3 kildallan players. the club can also see the benefits of these players amalgamating and competing at a higher level. killeshandra have consistently seeked a long term amalgamation down the years, and it was cornafean who left killeshandra-not the other way around. oh and if you go to a killeshadra senior team match and watch some of the aforementioned players you will get the answer as to whether they have pride in their jersey and club or not. those players are now challenging for promotion from div2-and im not saying they'll do it but it definitly a step forward for a club that spent 16 years playing junior football-without any amalgamations!!

Fooligan,i ve said this to you before,why does all that matter at minor,neither team has the numbers to field a decent team,so instead of there strong players playing in a weaker div,would it not be better for them to join up,field a decent team and hopefully have there players improve more than if they were in a lower div.it was cornafean who pulled out of the amalgamation.i could never see cornafean joining up with the other two for good,i think theres alot of people from cornafean who would be against it.

In the last few games in Div 4 Sean Nolan of Blackwater Gaels was a class above everybody, considering he is only back from injury. Should be on the County panel at least.
