Can't believe that anyone would try and deny Ballyhaise their victory. On the day they were the better team, the fact that St Joe's had so many wides had a lot to do with good Ballyhaise defensive play than bad shooting. Most of the wides were kicked under pressure or from 30/40 yards out.Ballyhaise were a lot more economical with the the ball and looked a lot more threatening going forward. On the day a 2-9 to 0-5 win can't be argued with, come the championship though it may be a complete different story with not a lot seperating most of the teams. aceofspades (Cavan) - Posts: 257 - 08/05/2009 10:15:08 277894 Link 0 |

Ramor through to the div2 final!! in my opioion there untouchable!! xlough seems to hide on big occasions and c.rathan dont have the midfield to cope!! mc evoy supposidly a great player bit too dedicated to county commitments maybe becasuse ive seen him play against slibv glah and st finbars and his head didn seem to be in it!! paul smith and cormac hannon for c.rathan alot will depend on these lads performance!! semi is monday while it will be a tight game with lots of tension id say the quality will be poor.. anyone agree or disagree??? cracker (Cavan) - Posts: 8 - 09/05/2009 15:49:02 279060 Link 0 |
fooligan just going back too ur post about st joes...who ever mentioned the brilliant morris's because i doubt they were ever put in that category...i am a joes man and just in there defence james who was plaing wing back was without a doubt st joes strongest player and def did not deserve a yellow card..peter was on a v gud footballer in moran the same player he scored sevn points on early in d league!!!in all fairness st josephs playrs did not show there potential and fair play ballyhaise took advantage as any good team would..!!well done 2 them and i hope we meet in the championshp... wing3quarter (Cavan) - Posts: 9 - 09/05/2009 18:29:27 279163 Link 0 |

I was at the div.4 final and I agree with smokinaces kildallon were very good but the goals kept them in it. Shannon Gaels are a much better team but fair play to kildallon they really put it up to da gaels! cavanforsam (Cavan) - Posts: 143 - 10/05/2009 17:46:46 279558 Link 0 |
I think we were bad on the day and even though we kicked a lot of wides they were all shots under pressure. mclovinxx (Cavan) - Posts: 101 - 10/05/2009 17:49:08 279559 Link 0 |

on friday last i witnessed what was a most intriguing and heartful display of football. the division 4 league final kildallon vs shannon gaels. this match truly apitamised the heart and courage that lies deep within the west cavan players. both teams with a never say die attitude fought it out til the end. niall cassidy reminded me of a young ronan flanagan with a great versatile display of football and if he had been on such form last year he surely would of given niall murray a run for his money at wing forward on the cavan minor panel. riverrock (Cavan) - Posts: 18 - 11/05/2009 11:34:56 279932 Link 0 |

castlerahan beat crosserlough this evening 0-12 t0 0-11. great game end to end stuff. crahan played most of the game with 14 men with an early sending off. paul mcevoy was outplayed by cormac hannon and mcevoy was sent off with 10 mins left. castlerahans hunger won it for them but i cant see them beating ramor in the final madforsam (Cavan) - Posts: 92 - 11/05/2009 21:07:30 280478 Link 0 |

I think that castlerahan will give ramor one hell of a fight, they have come on a serious amount since these two met in the league and ramor only bet them by five, getting a goal at the death. If complacency sneaks into the ramor camp, castlerahan will take the spoils. They work very hard as a team. galoping gazele (None) - Posts: 174 - 12/05/2009 16:38:03 281326 Link 0 |
