Yeah the Clann beat Annaclone by a point last night in a very exciting game. Both teams played their part in an end to end game, very exciting for the large crowd who turned up to support both teams. Good start tot he season for Clann na Banna, hope they can keep it up. Also great to see mc callister picking up the sigerson cup on tuesday evening and then playing for the clann making some great saves. clannman (Down) - Posts: 8 - 24/04/2008 12:15:44 11225 Link 0 |

Team to watch this year is Loughinisland. Beat us in a tough encounter in Longstone Park. We couldn't do a thing with Big Dan, he run the show. Ref was weak though, let things develop and spoiled the game. Several incidents went unnoticed and dispite all Loughinislands good qualities they lay down an awful lot wasting time. mark poland did not "roast" Liam Doyle but he put in a good performance. Very lucky to come away with a win! a few decisions near the end of the game will cause a stir! down gaa (Down) - Posts: 119 - 01/05/2008 23:07:47 14635 Link 0 |

Good result for the Stone on Friday night. Close to 10 men out injured we badly needed this win for a morale boost. From what i gather Kilcoo have a lot of guys away working in Scotland, is this true? RollingStone (Down) - Posts: 76 - 19/05/2008 14:19:05 20737 Link 0 |
Heard clann na banna had another win on Friday night, will get a real challenge this week when they meet bryansford who are league leaders. Could this be the end of the clanns good start to the league. clannman (Down) - Posts: 8 - 19/05/2008 14:56:39 20767 Link 0 |
Yeah Bryansford are definately going to be the team to beat this season - but as we have seen time and time again every year in Div 2 it does not matter who finishes top, its all about getting into the top four because it is always a different kettle of fish come the play offs, be it in October or even November!!
