I see a previous poster said that Rathnew might make it tough on Dunlavin. It wasn't tough, it was cowardly. 3 sent off. One broken jaw, not the first time this team has bullied and abused their way through a match this year. Disgraceful club.

Same county board here since 70s. No structure, no plans, no drive.
Fixtures are shambolic with clubs dictating to a weak committee and having their way. 3-4 clubs call the shots and the rest drift along aimlessly.
Adult leagues have 14 games yet takes 10 months to play them.
No u21 competitions.
Never taken advantage of natural population boom in last 15 years.
About 8 clubs play competitions in other counties as the competitions in Wickow are not run correctly.
Countless walkover at every level.
I could go on and on and on with facts from weekly events to show how poor the standard and county board are.
I genuinely believe that Wicklow need to be run directly by Leinster.

Shocking !
We don't have any PR for this sham of a draw. Was it not postponed again?
Regarding the book launch- We still live on 3 home wins against v poor Ulster teams 7 years ago. Another sham.
Micko has a lot of blame for our current situation and the book launch timing was very poor.

The real shocking thing is that the lads picked are the best club players we have.
The lack of structure for them through the underage county scene has us where we are today.
When was the last time any team-u14/u16/minor/u21 won a meaningful game?
It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Awful. And it'll get worse. Years of neglect at underage. Years of money & time wasted on high profile managers. We'd be better off not playing inter county for a 10 years and developing our hurlers or underage footballers.
I am embarrassed. I don't blame the players, they are the best we have, but sadly our county board has failed them over the last 10 years in particular.
We were in a Leinster minor final in '97 and u21 final in '02. These players were naturally talented but as that's not enough in modern football we've struggled to compete at every single grade. Once these players retired from senior inter county we've sank & will continue to do so.

We have played five championship games this year. Not one of them was played on the date scheduled in the masters fixtures list, a list that was published more than a month after the season started. The league, which started in February, will probably finish in November. There have been umpteen walkovers given and the fixture list is worthless. Teams which withdrew from championships have been reinstated for relegation playoffs. Our minors have played three times this year. A player who was suspended for two years had his suspension reduced to two games. The list is endless.
GAA HQ are to pump money into the population bases along the east coast. Hopefully they will monitor the situation in Wicklow carefully and act accordingly." Well said maddog. Same here with our club. It's chronic when compared to other counties. I travel with my job so get a good chance to compare set ups etc and while we all have our problems- what's going on here is staggering.
I haven't even mentioned discipline or suspensions.
