Cornally, Farrell


Late of Collins Park, Whitehall, County Dublin and formerly of Castledaly, County Westmeath, Farrell Cornally died on Saturday, September 16th, 2017. Farrell was a brother of Westmeath GAA stalwart Tom Cornally. Farrell represented Castledaly with distinction during the 1950s, togging out at midfield, Even after he had moved away due to his work with CIE in Inchicore, he continued to return home to represent the local GAA club. Farrell's last appearance for Castledaly was the 1957 JFC semi-final against Caulry, where he played in goal, with his brother Charlie on the edge of the opposing square on the day. Castledaly GAA Club expressed its sympathies to the Cornally family.
